The Gals Fiction OVA Will Inspire You to Be a #TopGyaru

We’re starting fall in the best way possible! Pink Pineapple announced that they’re producing an OVA adaptation of the Gals Fiction eroge! Pink Pineapple revealed a December 18, 2026 release for the 30-minute OVA. On the production side, Kazuhiro Ohara, who’s worked as a key animator on several episodes of Fairy Tail, will direct Gals Fiction The Animation volume 1. Ohara-san has also directed a couple of R18 anime (Seikatsu Shuukan The Animation, Yarimoku Beach ni Shuugakuryokou de!!).

Ohara-san will also provide the script, storyboard, key animation, and character design for the OVA. He’s also the animation director and the episode director. If that doesn’t make him one of the hardest-working men in hentai, I’m not sure what does.

Okay, now news… Studio Seven, known for titles like Ai-Mai-Mi Surgical Friends and Bombastic Sisters, will animate Gals Fiction The Animation.

Gals Fiction The Animation (And Eroge) Deets

Lord Gigguk once said, “Sometimes it takes a real man to become best girl.” Hatsune Nijou took that sage-level advice to heart. Hatsune’s interest in gyarus started with his friend’s mom, but years later he’s so obsessed with gyarus that he even dresses like a gyaru! After all, if he can’t find the perfect gyaru, nothing stops him from being the one who meets his ideals. This is 2026 — girls can have dicks, and dudes can be waifus! But alas, not everyone is as accepting as we are, so Hatsune never quite got the opportunity to shine as a gyaru.

But when his sister lets Hatsune know that her school enacted a “wear what you want” policy, he instantly transfers schools. If he can be a gyaru every day, surely he can make his gals fiction come true! Luckily, his new school is everything he dreamed of — they’re all sorts of gyarus! And they all love him too. In fact, they all love him a tad too much…
