r[E]:2B9S Is a NieR:Automata Doujin That Makes Us Wish for Humanity’s Downfall!

As an illustrated medium, all H-manga are art. But Aoin’s NieR:Automata doujin, r[E]:2B9S, is artistic in both substance and style. Like many of Aoin’s other works, including his forays into both Elden Ring manga and his own original characters, Aoin’s full-color art drips with surreal, Avant-Garde impressionism. r[E]:2B9S Is NieR:Automata Smut That’s Authentic and Sexy

There’s a wide ocean of NieR:Automata doujins and porn out there, with your favorite sexy androids getting it on post-apocalypse in ways that us long-dead humans could only dream of. Aoin stands out from other artists with his obvious love for the series itself, down to its story and world-building elements. If this were safe-for-work content, it might otherwise feel canonical.

PlatinumGames’s 2017 game, NieR:Automata, is complex and rich with philosophical commentary about the nature of the soul, body, and independent will. We won’t spoil the game’s multiple endings here, but r[E]:2B9S takes place after the third ending, “meaningless [C]ode.”

Aoin’s r[E]:2B9S focuses on the pent-up sexual chemistry between the Scanner-model 9S and his busty battle companion, 2B. Throughout the game and its subtly different playthroughs, the depths of 2B and 9S’s feelings are exposed to players and characters alike. r[E]:2B9S allows these characters to release their frustrations for our entertainment!

The authenticity we mentioned earlier is on full display throughout, with Aoin opting to write almost all dialogue in the in-game “Angelic” script, with only a few bubbles in English. Some fan translations of the doujin have reversed the cipher to “decode” the dialogue. And while that’s perfectly understandable, it robs Aoin’s creation of its vision.

r[E]:2B9S offers us a private, voyeuristic look into 2B and 9S’s sexual coupling; their emotions, actions, and reactions offer as much context as any language could. This deliberate alienation plays nicely off NieR:Automata’s frequently unsettling meta elements.

Does r[E]:2B9S Give You Bang for Your Buck?

r[E]:2B9S is a fairly short doujin, with only seventeen pages of content, although the high-quality art really makes up for the short runtime. Aoin’s gorgeous pastels paint a dreamy, realistic picture, and the lewd acts themselves are expertly chosen. If you’re not thirsting over 2B before reading this doujin, you will be afterward — from her lascivious tongue to her ample breasts, this is one android we’d happily lose our virginity to.

If you’re really invested in the doujin, you can easily translate the Angelic script yourself or enjoy the pretty pictures — a pseudo-interactive element that most doujin can’t offer! Once again, we have to praise Aoin’s knowledge of the characters, with 9S shifting as the story progresses from embarrassed to aggressively aroused, and 2B going from dominatingly sexy to a motherly, caring role to ease 9S’s worries.

The sex acts on offer are erotic, entertaining, and remind us that 2B’s canonical weight is 328 lb. (incidentally, 2B sitting on our face is the precise way we want to die and ascend to the halls of Valhalla).

Why We Recommend r[E]:2B9S

You don’t need to have played NieR:Automata to enjoy r[E]:2B9S, or any of Aoin’s other NieR:Automata doujins; nor do you need to have played Elden Ring to understand the appeal behind Queen Marika’s gorgeous breasts. However, in both cases, familiarity with the original material makes the doujins much more enjoyable. Aoin knows his audience: fans of the game who want a lore-accurate H-manga rather than one that cashes in on the brand name.
