Let’s Review Ecchi Manga: The Hero’s Lower Sword Slays Demons in Sei-jun Ecstasy

The classic “chosen hero” is a trope where a brave, strong warrior stands tall against the vicious demons threatening all of humanity. Except not here! Ex is the last descendant of that hero. However, his demon-slaying power has manifested in an unusual and ecchi way: his holy powers gather in his pants, compelling him to engage in lewd battles with demon girls, and we salute him for his brave sacrifice. There really is no better way to deal with a demon invasion than to bone down their leadership, is there? Let’s review his battle strategies in this most cultured manga series, Sei-jun Ecstasy: XXX Shinai to Derarenai Heya de Mazoku o Buttaoshimasu (Holy Pilgrimage Ecstasy: Defeat Demons in a Room You Can’t Get Out of Unless You Do XXX).

Kimura Sakyuu released the Sei-jun Ecstasy manga series on December 26th, 2025. Kodansha has since published one volume in Young Magazine Web.

The Heroic Tales of Sei-jun Ecstasy

This isn’t your typical “the hero of light saves humanity from demons” tale. True, it starts the same: demons are all-powerful, and humanity is on the brink of destruction. It even has the “protagonist is the last hero standing” part. However, everything deviates from there. Ex’s hero power only manifests in his Southern sword, a fact he only recently discovered. His “awakening” when faced with an all-female demon unit triggered a sacred shrine’s activation.

Ex’s gambit is just as cultured and fantastical as we can hope: He lures these powerful demon girls into the shrines that compel the occupants to have sex in specific positions, from prone to anal. The doors remain locked until they do the deed, as the shrine (or love hotel room) describes. The girls seem just as eager to get down as we are to see them get down. I hope at least some of you are asking why this is necessary in the first place. The answer is simple: demons have a dark aura that acts as armor. Ex’s lightsaber can crack it, which makes these girls incredibly sensitive to stimulation. Simply put: Ex breaks their armor and makes them fiend after his Calibur. He’s the hero we need, and the hero these demon girls deserve.

The Demon (and Human) Girls of Sei-jun Ecstasy

There are no words to describe just how fun the girls in this manga are. They all have their own unique quirks that quickly manifest in some very lewd and ecchi ways. Let’s start with the cover demon: the redhead with the claw bra. That’s Geshurai, one of the six demon generals and a candidate for the throne. She comes off as more of a dominant woman, but one round with Ex pushes her more into a tsundere who wants to be with him again.

Then you have Yakumo, another general’s underling who goes from a fierce, yet dull-witted warrior to a pet who wants Ex — and his female friends — to punish her. Yeah, there’s quite a bit of yuri in this harem series with a male protagonist, and it’s great. The Best Girl is the tanned martial artist Mira Vermarin. She’s not the cool girl she appears to be. No, she wants to hop on Ex’s Calibur and even pull a demon girl into a threesome with Ex. However, the sacred shrine catches on to her scheme and specifically blocks her from joining in.

The Heroic Art of Sei-jun Ecstasy

Let’s start with the most important thing. There is very minimal censorship here. It’s the obvious stuff — we can see the top, but the downstairs gets covered. It’s fine. We cultured otaku and cultured weebs can work with this. One of the first things I noticed, besides the fact that all the women here are 10/10 goddesses, is the sheer juxtaposition between girls looking proud and them looking blissful. Then I noticed the sideboob action. There’s a lot of it, from Mira’s Cammy-style suit to the MILF-style princess’s dress. Man, I love these outfits.

The art style itself is damn great. The girls look shiny and well-rounded where it counts. They’re definitely varied, from tomboys to MILFs, and Yakumo, the wannabe MILF with her increasingly lewd attire. We can also look forward to magical transformations, such as magic water turning a mandragora into a mermaid and turning the tan martial artist into an Amazon. The kingdom of warriors (no men allowed) has some dommy muscle girls. This manga is unfathomably cultured.

A Demonic Conclusion

This is a lewd tale of a hero setting out to stop the demon invasion, and it is great. Like fate stay/night before it, the manga still works even if you take out the sex scenes. The hero Ex is a kind and brave person who genuinely cares about others, the perfect harem protagonist. The girls are just fun to follow, from the tsundere general (who damn well needs to appear again) to the “impregnable” general (who damn well needs to appear again).

There are also story bits to follow, such as the truth behind the shrines and when Mira can finally get with Ex. For all the magic lewdness this series has in store, I heroically give this series a solid 5/5 on the Megumi rating system. I’d give it a ten if Megumi went that high.
