Kanojo no Tomodachi Deets
Kanojo no Tomodachi follows Takeru Hidaka, a lad with a bright future on the surface. Takeru is heading to medical school, is in a loving relationship, and enjoys a cozy life. But much like me between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., Takeru knows that life’s missing something. His life is as empty as a yandere’s promise to respect your personal space. Even though his loving girlfriend Kaori Koga is smitten with him, he’s always had the hots for her best friend, Tomoko Yoshida. But with Tomoko out of his league, and Kaori confessing to him first, Takeru settled for the opportunity he had.
But one day, Tomoko joins them on a karaoke date and starts seducing Takeru. So, what does he do? Does he embrace fidelity at the cost of living an unfulfilled life, or does he embrace #beallyoucanbe and the giant oppai that come with it? Like plenty of our doujin protags, Takeru chooses oppai!
Jyura writes and illustrates the Kanojo no Tomodachi (My Girlfriend’s Friend) manga. Kodansha’s YanMaga Web, Comic Days, and Magazine Pocket serialize the manga. The manga’s publisher has compiled the individual chapters into six tankoubon volumes. They also released a special full-colored volume in November 2024. Kanojo no Tomodachi boasts an impressive 800,000+ copies in circulation.
Jyura is also known for their doujins — they author/illustrate such fine works as Rental Kanojo, Sister Complex, and Rain: Kokuhaku shitekita no wa Imouto datta.
