We’re heading back to the moon, and we’re getting another season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) — what a time to be alive! The upcoming season is titled How Not to Summon a Demon Lord UTL. The anime’s main VA trio will reprise their roles and have released commemorative short videos announcing their reprisals.
The Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu PR team launched a giveaway on X to celebrate the coming season. Fans who follow and repost the official X account’s content can win copies of the first to sixth volumes of the light novel or the first to fifteenth volumes of the manga. The light novel and manga’s respective creators will autograph the first volume of their work.
The premiere date and studio for the third season are unknown.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord: Deets
Kodansha has released How Not to Summon a Demon Lord through their Ranobe Bunko imprint since December 2014. Yukiya Murasaki writes the light novels, and Takahiro Tsurusaki creates the illustrations. J-Novel Club releases the light novels in North America. How Not to Summon a Demon Lord boasts fourteen volumes and has been on an unofficial hiatus since 2022.
Naoto Fukuda adapted the light novels into a manga. Suiyobi no Sirius (Kodansha) serializes the series. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the English translation of the manga.
Studio Ajiado adapted the first season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, which aired during the 2018 summer anime season. Tezuka Productions and Okuruto Noboru released the second season in the spring of 2021. Crunchyroll streams both seasons of the anime. The anime’s leading voice cast includes:
- Masaaki Mizunaka as the reincarnated weeb Diablo
- Yu Serizawa as the busty elf Shera
- Azumi Waki as the eroppoi catgirl Rem
Synopsis
Takuma Sakamoto spent the latter part of his life dedicating as much time as possible to the MMORPG, Cross Reverie. His addiction ran so deep that his in-game skills became legendary, and those skills served him well when he was isekai’d into the game. Those skills worked even better when his two hot, would-be summoners ended up as his slaves! But while Takuma’s powers are unrivaled in his new home, his filthy NEET personality is still sadly present. So what does he do? He adopts his in-game persona and travels to free his now-enslaved summoning waifus!
