What do you get when you mix alcoholic tendencies, a constant worry that AI is going to take your job, and a whole lot of pent-up sexual tension? You get Kashou Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?! Mixing those things may sound like a millennial’s reason for therapy, but in Hanisuka, they’re the ingredients to winter 2026’s most comedic pervy anime. For a show that’s only a few minutes long, its absurdity had me chuckling way after I finished watching it, and I know you will too. If you’re hesitant about getting that OceanVeil subscription, you finally have a reason.
Making an anime with a runtime of under ten minutes work is always a monumental task. Compressing a show’s source material to fit a regular 20-minute, 12-episode show frequently leaves fans of the source material bitching about missing content. Yet, for a newbie studio, that’s what Nyan Pollution-ω- did. In each four-minute segment, Nyan Pollution-ω- and Hanisuka let you connect all the dots with an enjoyable show.
Most people worry about AI taking their jobs. I worry about that too. But let me tell you, I’d unify the Holy Land if I could trade that concern for the “anxiety” that an eroppoi AI android was going to take my non-existent chastity.

Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? A Philosophical Question That Plato Can’t Answer.
There are few decisions as idiotic as basing your opinion of someone on their professional behavior. Akane Tsuda is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t do that. At her workplace, Akane-chan is the epitome of “employee of the month.” When her steadfast commitment to her company is paired with her kind nature, problem-solving skills, and amicability, all people see in Akane is a model adult and employee. But at home, Akane is as irresponsible as a frat boy. Her house mirrors the sights and smells of a landfill, alcoholism runs rampant, and healthy romantic/sexual relationships are an unknown.
Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, quickly shows and tells you that Akane is aware of her problems. But despite what all the toxic positivity TikTok gurus, crystal-selling filthy hippies, and snakeoil salesmen tell you, certain behaviors are taxing to remove. So Akane deals with her problems the same way I do — increasing alcohol consumption and buying stuff online. And it’s that behavior that leads Akane to purchase a sex-bot! A decision she deeply regretted when she sobered up the following morning. But her “problems” are far more than those of a girl who’s about to get the clank clank clank from an AI; her purchase can lead to her losing her job. Realizing that Akane does the only thing she can in that situation, she gets laid.

Nyan Pollution-ω- Came Out Swinging
Since I started watching anime, Studio Bind has been the only newbie studio to deliver a flawless premiere. At least that was the case until last week, when Nyan Pollution-ω- rushed into the ecchi scene like Delta Force rushed Caracas. Everyone had a different expected outcome, but it was somehow faster, cleaner, and tighter than anyone expected. I couldn’t believe that this was Nyan Pollution-ω-’s first anime. If you showed me a clip of this and told me it was an adaptation of a Manga Time Kirara Carat series, I would have believed you.
The art of Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? is so soft and welcoming and screams “slice-of-life,” but is so wonderfully pervy. We’ve seen other sex-bots in anime, but Makina sure as hell couldn’t vibrate her fingers like a sex toy. The lewdness in this anime gave me joy that is hard to find. MAL may tag this anime as sci-fi, yuri erotica, but I know a slice-of-life when I see one. It’s a sexy slice-of-life, and the lewdness is well done. Usually, ecchi-heavy anime and erotica wantonly throw nudity in your face. I dislike that. I need entertainmentand a solid plot. Here it looks like that’s what we’ll get. Akane and Nadeshiko are unbelievably sexy, and with fingering and orgasms in the first episode, I’m excited about what comes next.

The Android wa Keiken Ninzuu ni Hairimasu ka? anime adapts Yakinikuteishoku’s manga of the same name. Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime serialized the title from July 2021 to December 2025. The publisher compiled the manga into six volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in North America.
