There’s nothing quite like getting the opportunity to recommend one of your favorite anime series to a friend. The idea of sharing an anime whose characters really connected with us to a friend who might experience the same emotions is amazing. But what happens if the friend doesn’t feel the same way about the show? That could be awkward and create a lot of drama.

Anime Recommendation Time! But What If Your Friends Don’t Like What You Recommend to Them?
I asked J-List customers what happened when they recommended their favorite anime to friends, and these are the replies we got!
It worked out well for me. Back in the 2000s, when I recommended various shows to my friends, they ended up liking the fan service-y stuff the most.
I always suggest Sorcerer Hunters. It’s a good way to get rid of excess friends.
I recommend shows like School Days, Re:Zero, and Your Lie in April. I’m a sadist.
I recommended Boku No Pico. We’re not friends anymore. :c
I don’t recommend anime to my friends. I’m too worried this might happen.
I don’t have friends in the first place, so I don’t know what to say.

How about Made in Abyss? It’s a great light-hearted anime that definitely won’t leave you with any emotional scars.
I always recommend deep shows like this. It might explain why I have no friends anymore.
Why not recommend Oni Chichi to them and see what happens? It’s a good way to test what kind of friend they are.
