Utena visits Enormita’s evil lair and meets another sexy, screwy villainess, Kiwi Araga.
Episode 03 — “The Explosive Leopard!”
Hmm.
Do you ever wonder why supervillains’ evil lairs look so weird? Enormita, the evil organization in Gushing over Magical Girls, has its base in a dark dimension. It calls it “Nacht Base,” where “Nacht” means “night” in German. But why does it look that way? I understand artists like being “creative” to set a mood or atmosphere. But in the real world, why couldn’t the headquarters be a prefab construction site office trailer? Does an evil organization need to justify its budget? Does it need to keep up with the Bond villains who build their bases in volcanoes and on the moon? But where do they get their wall decorations and furniture? Ikea doesn’t offer sconces and boardroom tables like these!
I like how the modern anime aesthetic for evil organizations belongs to dull office skyscrapers. Soulless. Clinically evil. The guys in Enormita have too much fun. Obviously! Look at how Leoparde and Magia Baiser “play” with each other when they first meet. If people in your organization have fantastical magic abilities, I suppose the lair would resemble how their powers manifest. I expect to see more leather straps and guns on the walls because Utena and Kiwi now run around the halls.
No Boys Allowed in Gushing over Magical Girls
One more thing — Gushing over Magical Girls is a pure yuri, mahou shoujo adventure. There are no men in this anime at all. Bring on the tribadism and strap-ons!

Ha! Venalita doesn’t even wait for Utena’s mother to close the front door. Yeesh. Does Venalita’s species come from this barren place? Boo. That’s Nacht Base (night base), not Nakt Base (naked base). Electric lightbulbs appear to be a recent addition to Nacht Base. Who’s that? We saw her sitting on top of a building, leering at Utena at the end of the last episode. Kiwi joined Enormita just before Utena did. Well. Utena didn’t “join” so much as Venalita blackmailed her. Have a live grenade. Boom!
Utena’s escape artist skills impress Kiwi. Let’s watch Kiwi’s transformation scene! Micro bikini bottoms for the win! Uh oh. Utena likes how cute Kiwi looks. Time to torture her! Ack. Kiwi is the Fate Series Gilgamesh of Gushing over Magical Girls. Kiwi doesn’t hold back! Ouch. This fight isn’t a fun, sexy time. Ooh. Nice foreshadowing! A lightbulb landed on Utena’s wand. How will that change to torment Kiwi? But first, we have to appreciate Kiwi’s body parts and angles. Evil villains need to throw around speeches justifying their behavior, so let’s hear Kiwi’s screwy reasons. Ah. She thinks she deserves the attention Tres Magia gets because she’s cuter than they are.
But why does Utena fight the magical girls? We’ve been over this. Blackmail and extortion. Oh, she finally admits she likes seeing cute girls’ faces turned into masks of pain and pleasure. Neat-o. Light bulb filaments became viny tentacles. Utena caught Kiwi in a glass cage! Haha! Kiwi’s response is sane but not self-aware. Utena makes an electrifying argument for bullying cute girls. Aw. Kiwi fell in love (lust, obsession, friendship?) with her mistress, Magia Baiser.
Besties, Tasties, and Pasties
Gushing over Magical Girls goes back to school. Utena feels refreshed! I wonder why. I see a familiar set of thicc thighs. Kiwi transferred into Utena’s school! And right to a date with Kiwi-chan. Kiwi loves the grab and smush maneuver. They’re both each other’s first friends. It’s a match made in heaven. Uh. In a dark space filled with flat concrete walls… Gram-worthy pancakes! First date montage. I see no men in Utena’s world. Even the Mecha Ultra-Woman movie character has big boobs! Utena bought a Magia Azure figure, but Magia Baiser is already out for presales. Kiwi shares her Enormita origin story. She hated how the Tres Magia got more engagement on “Snitter” than she did. Venalita sensed a villainess-in-progress and gave Kiwi an opportunity for revenge before she broke the terms of service. It was a quick conversation!
Time for selfies as evil magical girls! Still no men anywhere in Gushing over Magical Girls. Instead, call Tres Magia! That was fast. Just two villainesses minding their own business. Gah. Sulfur and Leoparde are raring to go at it. Oho. Baiser is alone with her favorite. How much does Azure want her techniques again? Sulfur can only use her shields in public. The background music that plays as Sayo debates her conflicted feelings is hilarious. Utena lost her patience: flower tentacles again. Ah. Sayo loves that blindfold action. Utena added a gag and bondage!
Only Girls are Gushing over Magical Girls
Ahaha! Utena can’t help but drool over floppy, restrained boobs! Stiffen up there, Sayo! Slap them flabby things! Utena is giving Sayo the time of her life. Did Magia Baiser evolve into a stronger villainess? Aw. The other magic girls interrupted Sayo’s breast play session. Ha. Hahaha! Utena made an Azure clone from her figurine! Kiwi better pay Utena back. Kissy-time doesn’t count. It’s “twu wuv.” I see lots of lady couples around that love hotel. Kiwi is thirsty and needs a tall drink of Utena!
Next time, Gushing over Magical Girls reveals Tres Magia’s secrets! At least, I hope so.
