Our cultured J-List readers had some suggestions after the previous Overpowered Anime Girls list. To these fine suggestions we’ve added some new girls taken from classic and modern anime. Strong and mighty waifus await on this new list!
1. Milim Nava (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime / Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken)
Milim is one of the oldest Demon Lords, and one of the most powerful beings in the world. At the peak of her rage, she was able to single-handedly lay siege to the Super-Magic Kingdom of the Elves. Milim nearly brought it and the rest of the world to ruin. To be fair, they had it coming.
2. Haruka Kaminogi (Noein: To Your Other Self / Noein: Mo Hitori no Kimi e)
Haruka has powers similar to those of Haruhi Suzumiya, in that she can bend the world around her. However, unlike Haruhi, she doesn’t always get what she wants. After all, her parents remain divorced in spite of her travels to different timespaces. She is the Dragon’s Torque, which means that she can manipulate the world on a quantum level. Her powers manifest as an ouroboros necklace.
3. Eiko “A-ko” Magami (Project A-ko)
A-ko is said to be “the daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman” due to her incredible might, and the references to DC. She wields superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and senses. Her sheer power necessitates the use of Power Limiter Armbands, which certainly affords her the title of an overpowered anime girl.
4. Ouro Kronii (Hololive)
Kronii is a member of the Council and the Warden of Time. She serves alongside Tsukumo Sana of Space, Ceres Fauna of Nature, Nanashi Mumei of Civilization, and Hakos Baelz of Chaos. As the personification of time itself, her power is beyond mortal reckoning. Her voice is also beyond mortal reckoning.
5. Elis Shiho (Night Wizard!)
Elis wields the magic broom Ain Soph Aur, an incredibly powerful artifact on its own that was made to hold the Seven Jewels of Virtue. She and her friends gathered them under the orders of Anzelotte and the god Gazer. This would prove surprisingly disastrous when it became clear that their mission was a lie. Elis housed Shaimal, the God of Destruction, and awakened such power when she saw her friend die. The only way to stop this evidently powerful anime girl was for Anzelotte and the demon lord Lion Gunta to resurrect her friend to end her rampage that would have wiped out both the Human world and the Reversal world.
6. Megumi (J-List)
Megumi has tirelessly acted as the mascot of J-List since 1998, two years after the site itself launched. She is a third-year student at North Kanto High School, and is unquestionably a friendly and energetic person. Whereas her friends enjoy after-school activities, she works at an online shop. What makes her a true overpowered anime girl is the power of friendship. There are legions of friends who will do their best for her, such as locating more emergency chocolate.
7. Maya Ikusaba (My One-Hit Kill Sister / Isekai One Turn Kill Nee-san: Ane Douhan no Isekai Seikatsu Hajimemashita)
Whereas her brother Asahi dreamed of going on an isekai adventure, Maya dreamed about being with him. Her great love for her brother granted her the same cheat abilities he wished to have, enabling her to fell any and every foe before them. Maya’s efforts to protect Asahi and make him happy have seen him gain a hero’s reputation and fame.
8. Mamako Oosuki (Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?, Okaa-san Online)
Yes, Mamako is so popular, she is both an overpowered anime girl, and a great anime mother. Both she and her son Masato are pulled into an “MMMMMORPG” that is designed to bring mothers and their children together. Consequently, mothers are given incredible cheat skills. Mamako is given two divine swords capable of AOE (area of effect) abilities, and mother-specific skills. Mama Beam is Mamako’s ultimate skill.
9. Lina Inverse (Slayers)
Lina is the “Magical Genius,” having created numerous unique spells after excelling in different branches of magic. She created the Giga Slave spell which calls upon the Lord of Nightmares herself. This spell could easily destroy the world should Lina ever lose control of it. Ragna Blade also summons the power of the Lord of Nightmares, but is less of a threat to the world.
10. Najimi Ajimu (Medaka Box)
Najimi is the founder of Hakoniwa Academy and the creator of the Flask Plan. She is roughly five thousand years old and possesses approximately 12 quadrillion skills. Despite being sealed away, Najimi is still among the most powerful beings in the series. Apparently, death itself is not a hindrance, as Medaka expects her to return in time to see the moon’s restoration.
11. Sakura Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura)
Sakura’s quest to seal away the Clow Cards, and later transform them into Sakura Cards, turned her into a competent mage. Her power is drawn from the stars themselves, glimmers of light that shine ever brighter. Sakura’s magic is a balance of sun and moon, like Clow Reed himself. She also gains powers that only Clow himself possessed, and is ranked among the most powerful magic users in the world.
12. Misaka Mikoto (A Certain Magical Index / Toaru Majutsu no Index)
Misaka is a remarkably powerful Level 5 esper. Her strength was significant enough for the 7th Medical Research Center of the Higuchi Pharmacies to clone her thousands of times. Despite the Electromaster esper ability being the most common, her mastery of it has granted her the Railgun esper classification. Misaka is the most powerful Electromaster in the world, capable of a maximum electrical output of 1 billion volts.
