Japanese anime seiyuu work long hours and probably don’t have much time to meet people outside their industry. So it’s no surprise that there are many married voice actors, creating some interesting pairings between your favorite characters. Let’s check out the most famous anime seiyuu couples in this blog post!

Which Voice Actors Are Married

Anime Seiyuu Couples! Which Characters Are Married to Who?

Anime Voice Actor Couples Ayana Takatetsu X Yuki Kaji

Ayana Takatetsu x Yuki Kaji

Queen-of-incestuous-sister-roles Ayana Taketetsu voices Nino from Quintessential Quintuplets, Kirino from Oreimo, and her very first role, Ako-nee from Kiss x Sis. She must have been a big fan of Attack on Titan because she married Eren Yeager’s voice actor, Yuki Kaji, making them one of the most famous seiyuu couples.

Anime Seiyu Couples Kana Hanazawa X Kensho Ono

Kana Hanazawa x Kensho Ono

If you’ve ever been in love with a character voiced by HanaKan — there are so many, but Kuroneko, Mayuri from Steins;Gate and Kosaki from Nisekoi are three great ones — I’ve got bad news: they’re all getting it from Jojo. Giorno Giovanna from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, specifically. I wonder if they ever role-play with character voices in the bedroom?

Tachikoma Married Char Aznable

Sakiko Tamagawa x Ikeda Shuichi

Legendary voice Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam Ikeda Shuichi is married to Sakiko Tamagawa, whose main voice credit is the Tachikoma from Ghost in the Shell: SAC. Previously he was married to seiyuu legend Keiko Toda, who voiced Anpan Man (and Dana Scully in the Japanese dubs of X-Files, if you lived in Japan during the 90s like I did).

Anime Voice Actor Married Couples

Sayaka Senbongi x Tasuku Hatanaka

So Haru, the horny rabbit from BEASTARS is married to Bakugou from My Hero Academia? Sayaka also voices Mumei from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

Asuka Oogame X Nobuhuko Okamoto

Asuka Oogame x Nobuhiko Okamoto

Erio from Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko is married to the voice of Katsuki from Boku no Hero Academia. That’s so sweet.

Chobits Voice Actress

Rie Tanaka x Kouichi Onodera

Legendary male seiyuu Kouichi Onodera, who voiced Spike Spiegal, Kaji from Eva and Deslar in the rebooted Yamato series, was married to Chobits and Suginto voice Rie Tanaka, but they divorced in 2018. Maybe he didn’t like her pantsu.

Tokyo Mew Mew X Overlord Married Anime Voice Actors

Saki Nakajima x Satoshi Hino

Saki Nakajima is best known for playing Ichigo in the original Tokyo Mew Mew. Her husband is Satoshi Hino, the voice of Ainz from Overlord and Saito from Zero no Tsukaima. They welcomed their second child last year!

Satomi Sato X Takuma Terushima Anime Seiyu Couples

Satomi Sato x Takuma Terashima

Beloved voice of Ritsu from K-On! and sex joke-delivering Aria from Seitokai Yakuindomo married handsome voice actor Takuma Terashima. His most well-known role is Ittoki from Uta no Prince-sama. Imagine being a BL fan and getting to marry your favorite voice actor?

Anime Voice Actors Married

Maaya Sakamoto x Kenichi Suzumura

Maaya Sakamoto is the amazing voice actress who brings Major Kusanagi and Shinobu Oshino to life. She’s married to Kenichi Suzumura, the voice of Kakashi from Naruto and Wen-li Yang from the new Legend of Galactic War.

Arale Chan's Anime Seiyu Is Married To Tooru Furuya

Mami Koyama x Tohru Furuya

Two classic voice actors from the old days, Arale-chan and the voice of Amuro Ray Tohru Furuya are married, which is extremely cute. Previously Furuya was married to the voice of Hibari from Stop! Hibari-kun. Man, so many Showa Period vibes today!

Naru From Sailor Moon Is Married To Piccolo

Shino Kakinuma x Toshio Furukawa

Piccolo x Naru from Sailor Moon have been married for more than thirty years. So cute!

Another Famous Seiyu Married Couple

Masako Nozawa x Masaaki Tsukuda

Finally, the legendary Masako Nozawa, the voice of Son Goku and Tetsuro from Galaxy Express 999 is married to veteran seiyuu Masaaki Tsukuda, best known for playing Shigekuni Genruusai from Bleach.

Robotech Voice Actor Azonia And Khyron

Khyron x Azonia

Bonus unexpected anime relationship, since I’m still feeling natsukashii from writing my Macross 40-year anniversary post. In the English Roborech release, Khyron is played by Greg Snegoff while his evil romantic interest Azonia is played by… his mother.
