You have to commend human imagination. When you accept that your brain is mainly fat and water, its abilities enter the realm of the incomprehensible. That imagination is why we figured out that we could cook meat on fire, and it’s why a fish as deadly as fugu is a delicacy. Imagination is also why someone looks at a World War 2 warship and turns it into a waifu. Imagination is why we have the Solarian’s Bache figure and plushie set. I mean, how else could we turn a US Fletcher-class destroyer into a bratty-looking patisserie?
Part of the Azur Lane anniversary merch line, the Bache figure and plushie set gives you two stellar collectibles for the price of one!
Solarian’s Bache Figure and Plushie Set — There’s Something for All Parts of You
From stem to stern, the USS Bache is resplendent in this figure. Her chaotic aura radiates infectious joy. I’ve long believed that you gain a new life the day you learn to enjoy failure — and that’s a sentiment Bache lives by. Despite her catastrophic attempt at baking, she remains as unbothered as a cloud on a summer day.
If you don’t have at least one bratty waifu in your collection, can you really call yourself a collector? Likewise, you can’t be a true otaku without at least three anime plushies in your room. That said, few people would argue against the kawaiiness of the Bache figure and plushie set.
Both the figure and plushie feature Bache in a skimpy chef’s outfit. Well, it’s more like a skimpy outfit with an apron and hat, holding baking utensils (which are removable). But, you know, one and the same. Bache’s pseudo-twin-tailed hair suits both display versions of this figure. When she’s in her chef motif, her hair adds a playful touch — it paints the mental image of walking into your kitchen only to find your drunk girlfriend committing culinary atrocities. Without the patisserie gear, Bache exudes an eroi vibe. Her micro bikini and hot pants leave only a tiny part of her to the imagination.
The figure’s base includes a spilled milk carton and a banana. Those might be part of the motif. But I like to think someone at Solarian knows that bananas often bring misfortune on a maritime vessel. Remember, kids: no bananas on a fishing boat.

Unsure what Azur Lane is? Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi launched Azur Lane in 2019 as a mobile side-scrolling shooting game. The game features anthropomorphized versions of WWII battleships, a feat so mighty that War Thunder should have emulated it. Apart from the Bache figure and plushie set, Azur Lane boasts various manga, light novels, additional games, several TV anime, and OVAs. If you’re looking for other Azur Lane collectibles, head over to the J-List store and browse our extensive ship girl inventory. We stock everything from adult content to the Azur Lane Queen’s Orders manga.
