When it comes to hentai, there can be a lot of different kinds of stories. Sometimes you might read a sad and heart-breaking manga. Other times, it might be a romantic, mature tale. For me, though, it’s hard to beat a hentai manga that lays it on thick with the comedy. If you’re in the same boat and want an anthology of stories that are equal parts erotic and hilarious, look no further than Love Style by Konchiki.
Made up of 11 different anthology chapters, Love Style is a great sampling of the variety of characters and scenarios Konchiki can draw. Some chapters feature busty women with plush and curvy bodies, while others feature petite girls with small frames but equally insatiable lust. Konchiki maintains a consistent art style while still delivering a great assortment of character designs, and even when the first few chapters featured similarly black-haired girls, their personalities and body types were unique enough from each other to keep things interesting.
It’s a shame that there aren’t any full-color pages in Love Style at all, because the few colored cover illustrations we get in the book are absolutely gorgeous. The tones of color for skin and hair are well done, but they’re blended in a unique, rough fashion that’s reminiscent of marker illustration. The shadows and light bouncing off of a large pair of breasts are rendered in soft splotches of varying color rather than smoothly transitioning ones, but the effect is a unique style of color that I desperately wanted to see more of.
Still, even without color, the art in Love Style is absolutely amazing. Each girl has a perfectly rendered body that matches their bust and their butt size, leading to tiny girls with deliciously petite frames and curvier women with plump thighs and plush stomachs. There’s a great amount of detail put into the facial expressions of each character, which is a great element of the art that helps amplify the constant humor of the book. It also helps elevate the sex scenes, though, with the lewd faces and jiggling bodies leading to sexy scenes I never wanted to tear my eyes away from.
One of my favorite chapters that best illustrates the perfect blend between comedy and sexiness in Love Style is the final chapter, titled Juicy, Beastly Guardian Foxes. In this story, a young man is walking home after shopping for food at a local convenience store. On his way home, though, he passes by a nearby shrine adorned with two beautiful fox statues. He lays some food down on the shrine as an offering and solemnly wishes for a cute girl to come help him get his dick wet. As he sighs and turns to leave, he’s stopped by a bust fox-girl and a petite fox-boy who scoff at him only having one pouch of food to offer, and reveal themselves to be the spirits of the shrine. He decides to bring the fox spirits to his home to make some food for them, and while they initially dismiss his fancy tofu and laugh at his instant ramen, they eat both and end up absolutely loving it, stuffing themselves with all of his delicious food. In return, the curvy fox girl offers to let him feast on either of them, but when our protagonist admits that he isn’t into boys, the smaller fox reveals that they’ve taken on a petite, female form after some pranksters broke off the manhood from their statue. With that settled, the two fox girls pay back their gracious host with an evening of wild, heavenly sex.
This was hands down one of the funniest chapters in all of Love Style. While the busty fox-woman initially seems like a demanding and haughty type, she quickly reveals herself to just be a hungry weirdo. The way she would refuse his meals with a stern face, only to eat them and instantly shout in joy was hilarious. Even funnier was how she would constantly hold up her hands against her face and point them at our protagonist as if they were fox ears, despite her literally having fox ears on her head. Once things got a little more steamy, though, I was just as entertained. Having both a thick, big-breasted girl and a slender petite one fool around with our main character was a treat, and the way he ends up taking control and going crazy on them was incredibly hot. With sharp comedy and erotic art, this chapter is the perfect encapsulation of what makes Love Style so good.
Another highlight of Love Style is actually a Konchiki story I’ve read a few times before, titled Runner’s Heaven. In this, a young man is on a jogging route when he spots a woman with a dynamite body running in front of him. She’s got a huge ass barely contained in tight spats, along with massive breasts bouncing along in her sweat-soaked and see-through white top. Every guy who sees her becomes enamored, and before long, there’s a swarm of men running behind her, our protagonist included. She spots the horny crowd tailing her, and teases them with a smack to her ass. The men start racing and fighting to get to her, but our hero ain’t about to give up. He elbows stomachs and trips nearby runners, ensuring he’s the last man standing. He finally reaches the jogging goddess and slumps to the ground as soon as he catches up to her. He can’t rest just yet, though, because now he gets to celebrate his victory by fooling around with the plump running woman.
Konkichi draws a lot of tall, busty women in Love Style. The jogging beauty in Runner’s Heaven, though, is on an entirely different level. Her butt is ridiculously plump, jiggling firmly in the tight spats she wears as she runs. Her big breasts and juicy lips are even hotter, and it all comes together as a jaw-dropping beauty that always leaves me enamored. The pages where the two fool around are detailed and raunchy, for sure, but even the pages where she’s simply running are enough to get anyone hot and bothered. It’s easy to empathize with the men who nearly killed each other just to fool around with her, and I can only hope that if Konkichi puts out another book, we can see this incredible jogging goddess return.
Love Style is an absolutely incredible anthology by Konkichi. The variety of fun characters and beautiful girls on display is a treat for anyone, and the hilarious writing of each chapter helped keep me even more engaged. It’s a shame that there aren’t any colored pages or special bonuses in the book, but even without those, this is a solid collection of stories that everyone needs to check out. Love Style by Konkichi is available at our shop here, along with many other great hentai manga series.
