Yesterday was New Year’s, and now we’re somehow in mid-March. That means that in a few days, we’ll be welcoming the Spring 2025 anime season. And with comes the usual “What should I watch?” question. And unlike Winter 2025, spring seems well poised to bring the culture.
We had some entertaining and likable shows this current season. But no matter how you look at it, this season lacked a plot! We can rave about the one elf with bigger boobs than her brain — but that’s it. All other shows only mildly included fan service. But fret not! THE PLOT COMETH!!! Here are three shows you should check out in the Spring 2025 season!
Plot Heavy Anime to Watch this Spring 2025 Anime Season — Kakushite Makina-san!!!
Imagine you’re infatuated with a school idol (Banzai for Love Live! PTSD!!). Then you wake up to the news that the sexy little vixen has started living with you. That’s the “predicament” the socially challenged Eita Akutsu finds himself in. That’s also the plot of Kakushite Makina-san!!!
I can already hear the “It should have been me!” But there’s more — the school idol Eita is smitten with is actually a sex robot! And with that, Eita’s flung into a life where he has to constantly defend his chastity and keep Makina’s real identity a secret!
Studio BloomZ will adapt this raunchy rom-com. The anime is based on the manga by Yoshimi Sato. An uncensored and censored version of the show will be available. And since Crunchyroll and HIDIVE have brought us uncensored anime recently (pray to whatever god you believe in), we’re finally going to see #lewdschoolidols. Kakushite Makina-san!!! has an April 6 scheduled release. This Spring 2025 anime’s voice cast includes:

Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World
Are you watching this season’s Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf? Take that show’s plot and add 100 percent more tits, and you have Yandere Dark Elf.
After being isekaied and defeating the Demon Lord, Hinata Sunohara returns to Earth (YUCK). Despite this affront to the fantasy life, Hinata quickly settled back into everyday life. Or at least he did until his busty and totally obsessed ex-party member teleported naked into his room. And while this Spring 2025 anime sounds like a hoot and a half, would you still feel that way if she were a yandere?
Dear J-List readers, the original iteration of this work is a doujin! Just so you know, it’s going to bring the spice! Nakanosora wrote and illustrated Yandere Dark Elf. Takeshobo’s Web Comic Gamma Plus has serialized the manga adaptation since September 2021. Studio Elias will animate the Spring 2025 anime adaptation under WWWave Corporation’s Deregula label.
Yandere Dark Elf has an April 6 release schedule. The show’s main voice cast includes:

What would you do if you found out your salacious student council president could travel back in time? How would you react when you learn that instead of a microwave, she only has to remove her panties? That’s the struggle that Koushi Shirota faces in Haite Kudasai, Takamine-san. Moreover, since he saw her using her abilities, he traveled in time with her!
Unluckily, Koushi’s newfound adventures come with a catch. From that moment onwards, he’s to be the student council president’s personal closet. And every time she needs a change of panties, he’ll be the one to put them on!
LIDEN FILMS will animate this raunchy Spring 2025 anime. Yuichi Hiiragi writes and illustrates the manga. Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine has serialized Haite Kudasai, Takamine-san since August 2024. Please Put Them On, Takamine-san airs on April 2, 2025. The show’s voice cast includes:
