How did you get through the great COVID-19 crisis last year? If you’re like most people, you stayed home and socially distanced, watching Netflix or anime and playing more video games than you could have thought possible. Doujinshi artist Kouyou Matsunaga had a better way to pass the time: by drawing cute female characters in charming or sexually alluring poses, creating one new image per day. And best of all: he’s published them into a series of thick doujin artbooks, so fans can own them! Let’s see what’s in the three Today’s One Shot artbooks, which are in stock on J-List right now.
For eight years Kouyou Matsunaga has been a fixture on Pixiv, pumping out his delightful images of female characters interacting with the artist’s POV in playful or sexy ways. The girls are usually lounging around the sofa, sometimes showing their underwear to the viewer (either accidentally or intentionally), or doing something else that’s sexy, like stretching before exercising.
There are three new artbooks published, which go from January 2020 to December 2020, with each book giving you four months’ worth of published images. With 128 pages per artbook, the books are very thick and provide excellent value, giving you tons of images to stare at dreamily. Naturally, the printing quality is excellent, as they’re printed here in Japan.
Kouyou works with a WACOM Intuos Pro PTH-86 and Sai2 to make his art in a 100% digital setting on a Windows 10 computer.
