Kingdom Hearts Official Twitter account announced that Skrillex and Utada Hikaru will be doing a special collaboration for the opening theme song of Kingdom Hearts III. Longtime Kingdom Hearts fan Skrillex, initially asked if he could make a remix of Utada Hikaru’s song, “Don’t Think Twice.” But with the two’s friendship, they agree upon doing an original collaboration.“Face My Fears” which is the name of the opening theme song for Kingdom Hearts III, and is to come out on January 18th, 2019!

Kingdom Hearts franchise first released on March 28th, 2002 by Square Enix and Disney. Couple years after Kingdom Hearts II released on December 22nd, 2005. Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts III in 2013, and worlds from Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Tangled, Monster Inc, Pirates of the Caribbean and the return of Olympus Coliseum to be included. The game will be released on January 25th in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on January 29th in the West. The franchise will be getting a Kingdom Hearts VR experience this Winter and will launch in English this holiday season for free. Sony will also be adding a VR experience of Utada, Hikaru’s two songs from her tour this year. The game franchised eleven titles, nineteen including final mixes titles, the series shipped over 25 million copies worldwide.
Tetsuya Nomura, the game series director, had said at Tokyo Game Show 2018 during a stage presentation that regarding the previously revealed news that Kingdom Hearts III will end the “Dark Seeker Saga” of the game franchise, “it’s most definitely not the end of Kingdom Hearts. I’d like to continue Sora’s story.” Nomura again confirmed that the game will be the final game with Xehanort as the main enemy.
