A gifted magician has secluded herself away in the mountains. It’s not that she wants to train alone. She only wishes to be alone because she’s terribly shy and is no good with people. Circumstances have drawn her into political intrigue and battles where her inability to speak won’t impact her combat prowess. We’ll see how she fares on and off the battlefield when Secrets of the Silent Witch (Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto) premieres on July 4th, 2025.
Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi released the original Secrets of the Silent Witch light novel on June 10th, 2021. Fujimi Shobo has since published nine volumes and one extra in the Kadokawa Books imprint.
The shy mage and two noble ladies are as follows:
- Monica Everett — Saya Aizawa (Hiromi Seki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Theater). A shy and self-conscious mage who mastered “chantless” magic.
- Isabel Norton — Atsumi Tanezaki (Frieren from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). A noblewoman who feels indebted to Monica for saving her life.
- Lana Colette — Kanna Nakamura (Narita Top Road in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby). A noblewoman and one of Monica’s first friends.

The Shy and Introverted Secrets of the Silent Witch
Monica Everett is one of the great Seven Sages of the Ridill Kingdom. She mastered multiple branches of magic and the ability to cast spells without an incantation. Her only fatal flaw is her inability to interact with others. She’s painfully shy and introverted. Indeed, she only mastered chantless magic so she wouldn’t have to speak in public. Her time in the shadows is about to come to an end.
Her fellow sage, Louis Miller, has tasked her to protect Ridill’s second prince, Felix Arc Ridill. Monica has no room to refuse, so she must enroll in Serendia Academy to keep an eye on the prince. She’ll have Isabel Norton and the entire Kerbeck family’s assistance. The family treats it like a ballad, while Isabel is happy to help the witch who saved her life from dragons.
