The second season of the anime based on Akatsuka Fujio’s manga, Osomatsu-san, is coming back this fall to the joy of many fans all over the world. The first season first aired from October to December 2015 leaving behind many fans who either loved, hated, or related to one or more of the sextuplet protagonists and their wacky personalities!

The second season will have a total 12 episodes and will premiere on TV Tokyo. The official website is currently showcasing a mosaic image of the anime visual below featuring thousands of pictures sent by fans!

An announcement CM revealed that the main staff and cast members will reprise their previous roles.

Osomatsu-san is a 2015 comedic anime television series by Pierrot, based on Fujio Akatsuka’s 1962 manga series, Osomatsu-kun. Celebrating Akatsuka’s eightieth birthday, the series follows the sextuplet Matsuno brothers from the original series as adults, and features more adult-oriented humor compared to the original series. The series aired in Japan between October 2015 and March 2016, with a special episode airing in December 2016. A manga adaptation by Masako Shitaro began serialization in Shueisha’s You magazine from January 2016. A second season will begin airing in October 2017.

Osomatsu San's Second Season Slated For October 2017

Osomatsu-san synopsis:

The Matsuno sextuplets (leader Osomatsu, wannabe tough guy Karamatsu, straight man Choromatsu, cynical Ichimatsu, cheerfully stupid Juushimatsu and lovable spoiled Todomatsu) are now in their 20s, still living together in the same house as NEETs. Their neighbors still include such eccentric characters as fish market idol Totoko, loud bucktoothed troublemaker Iyami, tiny rival Chiba, wacky inventor Dekapan, and giant mouthed glutton Dayon.

Join the Matsuno siblings as they overcome mundane hurdles in their daily lives, such as finding employment, figure out who should pay the bar bill, and who should get the extra pastry!
