With the anime adaptation first announced at the Dengeki Bunko 25th Anniversary Fall Dengeki Festival in 2018, Ore wo Suki na no wa Omae Dake ka yo (or just OreSuki) has revealed a bunch of new details ahead of its October 2nd premiere. So get comfortable, we’re going to be here for a while!
Starting with a brand new promotional video, viewers are being treated to a 160-second look at the new series and, I have to say, this looks good. Between the many, many reaction shots and some stellar character designs from Shoko Takimoto, this could be a smash hit when it premieres in October!

In terms of the cast who will be helping to bring these characters to life, we already know that the lead voices will be provided by Daiki Yamashita (Amatsuyu Kisaragi), Haruka Tomatsu (Sumireko Sanshokuin), Haruka Shiraishi (Aoi Hinata), and Sachika Misawa (Sakura Akino). We also know that they’ll be joined by Yuma Uchida, Shiori Mikami, Nao Toyama, and Shuka Saito in supporting roles. As for the crew, the animation will be produced by studio CONNECT with Noriaki Akitaya sitting in the director’s chair. The original light novel author, Rakuda, will be handling series composition.
The OreSuki light novel series began publication in February, 2016, and has eleven volumes printed in Japan thus far. A manga adaptation was launched in February 2017 and three compiled volumes have been released. Baka-Updates describes the story as:
Question: What would you do, if a girl you’re interested in confessed to you? On top of that, what if there was another girl as well? A cool upperclassman adored by the whole school and your cheerful, energetic childhood friend. I bet you would be over the moon. Thing is, what if there was an unexpected problem about the contents of that confession?
