It’s been a long and arduous road for fans of the anime adaptation of Wataru Watari’s famous romantic light novel series My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru). The third and final season of the iconic youth romance anime, titled Oregairu My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Kan), was originally set to premiere this April. In response to the rapid spread of COVID-19, however, the series was shelved indefinitely. Now, however, the show is finally set to hit the airwaves in Japan this month. While we don’t know which day exactly it’s set to premiere, we know how many episodes it will run for, and we also know that Crunchyroll will be officially streaming it across the globe.
As confirmed on the official Crunchyroll website, Oregairu My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax is coming “soon” to Crunchyroll as part of their Summer 2020 anime lineup. The streaming service will be making the show available in the United States of America, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, and the countries comprising Latin America.
Meanwhile, according to the official Japanese website for Oregairu My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax, the third and final season is officially set to run for 12 episodes. This news comes alongside the confirmation of the Japanese Blu-ray and DVD volume release schedule, which sees six volumes shipping in Japan on September 25th, October 28th, November 27th, December 30th, January 29th, and February 26th.
Sentai, who have localized and released the first two seasons of the series overseas, describes the series as follows:
Based upon the light novels of Wataru Watari, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU returns with the series’ long-awaited conclusion and resolution to the nail-biting cliffhanger ending of season 2! But the messy emotions of Hachiman, Yukino, and Yui won’t be easily expressed, and as the members of the Service Club band together to host a school prom, they will have to put their feelings into words and truly learn to understand each other at long last… if the Service Club can even stay afloat, that is!
