The second season of Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is on the horizon! Jump Festa 2026 confirmed a July 2026 premiere and released a trailer for the upcoming anime.
While the voice actors from the first season will reprise their rolls, the anime’s production team underwent key changes. Toshiniro Fukushima, known for their work on Tamayomi, will replace Masahiro Hiraoka as Magilumiere‘s director. The scriptwriter for the first season, Shingo Nagai, will also be replaced. The legendary Michiko Yokote (Naruto, Bleach, and Call of the Night) will now handle the anime’s script. Other known production staff include:
- Makoto Miyazaki – Music
- Masahiro Fuji – Chief Animation Director
J.C. Staff will now handle the animation production for the show. Studio MOE and J.C. Staff co-animated the first season.
The anime’s production cast has yet to announce which Western streaming company will simulcast the series. Amazon Prime streams the first season of Magilumiere Co. Ltd., but that doesn’t mean the follow-up will be there too. Go and ask HIDIVE what happened to Oshi no Ko (laughs in Ojou-sama).
Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Details
What would happen if magical girls existed in real life? We’d find a way to monetize them. That’s not quite what Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is about, but the glove fits.
The Shonen Jump+ website (Shueisha) serialized the Magilumiere Co. Ltd. manga between October 2021 and July 2025. Shueisha has since compiled the manga into 18 tankobon volumes. Their Manga Plus website and app release the English version of the manga. Sekka Iwata authored the series, which included illustrations by Yu Aoki.
Magilumiere Magical Girl Inc. follows Kana Sakuragi, who, upon graduating, instantly contracts the Gen-Z curse — unemployment. Despite attending multiple interviews and sending out applications like J-List ships doujins, Kana-chan has zero luck getting hired. But when an interview puts her in the crossfire of a magical girl’s battle with a monstrous creature called a Kaii, Kana’s job prospects take off. Kana-chan’s memory and SS wit were the key to defeating the Kaii, and with that, she ends up as the second magical girl at Magilumiere Co., Ltd.
