In 1987 Junichi Yamakawa released a one-shot manga that changed the world. In just fifteen pages, Yamakawa-sensei delivered an emotionally enthralling masterpiece that will outlast all works of William Shakespeare and Neil Gaiman combined. As all great epics go, the story of the Kuso Miso Technique began with a typical young man needing to find a bathroom in a public park. In his search, he makes eye contact with a stranger sitting on a bench wearing a mechanic’s jumpsuit. As one can obviously expect, the man unzips his suit, exposing his throbbing erection, and immediately suggests they have sex (やらないか? — yaranaika? Wanna do it?). Be advised, some NSFW content below this point.
The story of Kuso Miso Technique continues in a public toilet where they proceed to (attempt to) have sex twice, only to be interrupted by natural body functions to expunge bodily waste. As you can imagine, it was still a more successful attempt at getting laid than convincing all your friends to play Twister as an adult, only with a lot more urine and feces involved. It ends abruptly, never showing how their romantic encounter ends.
Odds are you’ve seen the memes even if you haven’t realized their origins. Kuso Miso Technique was widely taken out of context (possibly for the better) and widespread through internet meme culture due to Yamakawa’s distinctive and humorous faces.
Now, in 2023 Kuro Miso Technique (more commonly known as Yaranaika?) is getting an OVA adaptation by Anime Tokyo. Plans to crowdfund the anime will begin during early summer this year. Production and cast signed on for the project include:
- Pierre Ito — Director
- Yoshiro Sasaki as Takakazu Abe
- Sorate as Masaki Michishita
- Ikansoku — Script
- Taiten Kawakami — Collaboration
The studio has also said that due to various circumstances, they plan to make the OVA “appropriate for all ages.” How well that will go is questionable, at best. The last, but possibly the most important, detail about the Yaranaika anime is that the studio plans to crowdfund the production, meaning that it might be canceled due to a lack of support from fans. Plans to launch the crowdfunding and donation campaign are set for early summer.
While we wait for the crowdfunding to begin, we have plenty of erotic boys’ love content on our web store, including award-winning visual novels such as DRAMAtical Murder, Togainu no Chi -Lost Blood-, sweet pool, and Slow Damage. Our newest game, Sorcerer‘s Choice: Angel or Demon?, just launched.
