First revealed less than a week ago, new details have emerged regarding the upcoming multimedia project known as Kandagawa Jet Girls. This includes cast and crew details, a key visual, premiere month, and a promotional video! In a live stream held on August 1, video game publisher Marvelous spilled all the details about the anime that will be premiering in October, 2019.
Here’s what we now know about this upcoming series…
The story takes place in a world where riding around on jet skis in pairs has become a major sport. The main character is a young girl named Rin Namiki, whose mother used to be a legendary member of the sport. Hoping to emulate her mother, Rin leaves her home and heads to Asakusa, where she meets another young girl named Misa Aoi. Together, they climb the ranks of this intense sport.
The animation will be produced by studio TNK (High School DxD, School Days, Akane Iro ni Somaru Saku) with Gou Zappa (Blend S, Nekopara) handling the series composition. The characters will be designed by Tsutomu Miyazawa (Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls). The main theme song is titled “Bullet Mermaid” and will be sung by voice actors Yuu Sasahara and Riko Kohara.
