Granblue Fantasy: Versus may have just come out overseas on February 6th of this year, but the flashy anime fighter from Arc System Works has already gotten a heaping helping of DLC content in the form of new fighters, stages, character colors, and more. So far, the first character set expansion for the game has added playable versions of the cruel villain Beelzebub, the swordmaster Narmaya, the barrel-chested brawler Soriz, and series protagonist Djeeta. The fifth and final member of this add-on roster is the white-haired warrior Zooey, and a new trailer confirms that she’ll be arriving in the game on April 28th.
Zooey utilizes fierce sword attacks and dragon abilities to put a swift end to her opponents in Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and you’ll be able to try her out yourself when she launches for individual purchase on April 28th. Owners of the character pass set will be able to obtain her for free on the same day. The Zooey DLC also includes a lobby avatar and star character icon of Zooey, alongside two brand new RPG mode quests. Anyone who purchases the Zooey DLC will also receive a special serial code that can be redeemed in the original Granblue Fantasy mobile game to unlock an exclusive new outfit for Zooey in the smartphone RPG.
If you want even more missions to tackle in the unique dungeon-crawling RPG mode of Granblue Fantasy: Versus, you’re in luck. A free pair of updates coming to the game is set to add ten new chapters to the story mode. In the summer of 2020, episodes 41–45 of the main quest will be added. Then, in early 2021, episodes 46–50 of the main quest will arrive.
Also arriving on April 28th is a new stage to duke it out in. Granblue Fantasy: Versus players will be able to download the new Jewel Resort stage, which also comes with four bonus lobby avatars — Therese, Bunny Girl, Referee, and Bob.
