Gacha Girls Corps — New PV Summons the Cast, Premiere Date and Gets the UR Pull!

Zero-G and Saber Works have made the god pull and have drawn a new trailer for their upcoming Gacha Girls Corps (Gacha wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu: Saikyou no Bishoujo Gundan wo Tsukuriagero) anime adaptation. This series will most certainly appeal to all sorts of crowds, from isekai fans to gacha gamers who dream of going into other worlds with the waifus they spent days (and money) trying to pull. I mean, who wouldn’t want to go on adventures with Genshin Impact waifu Mona? This is a typical isekai adventure with standard gacha mechanics at work, complete with multiple gacha waifus.

Gacha Girls Corps News, Cast, Staff

The gacha hero will be summoning his waifu army in time for the series premiere in January 2027. Masahiro Takata and Takashi Asami are on hand to direct, Ryo Aizawa is producing, Deko Akao serves as writer, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi and George King are here to provide the sweet anime tunes.

The gacha gamer and two of his UR waifus are as follows:

Heihachi Okura — Daisuke Sakaguchi (Egyn from Blue Exorcist). Heihachi is a hardcore gacha gaming addict.
Norl Fanya — Miyu Tomita (Funifura from KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!). Norl is a shy female knight.
Estelle — Iori Noguchi (Happiness from There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her). Estelle is a little sister-type mage.

Zero-G and Saber Works will animate the anime adaptation, which has an official website and Twitter (X) accounts to promote Gacha Girls Corps. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals at those sites.

Gacha Girls Corps, Spending Magic Stones for Waifus in Another World

Fans of the light novel and manga series will immediately note that the anime takes its art inspiration from the light novel. For those unaware, Heihachi looks younger in the manga series, and he doesn’t wear glasses. The anime went with the light novel version because all gacha nerds are older and wear glasses. This might be a point of contention, with fans arguing over which art style looks better. I hope they keep the fanservice.

That aside, the trailer does a decent job of showing Heihachi using the gacha window to travel to another world. The animators even kept the comedic part where Heihachi first summons Norl while he’s in a tree. We don’t see her fall, but we know where she is and where she’ll be in five seconds. We’re only shown brief fighting scenes, which are nice; Norl cuts down monsters with ease while Estelle conjures a massive spell. The trailer was less than a minute long, but Zero-G and Saber Works have a good track record, and I’m looking forward to the next trailer. Hopefully, we will get to see some fanservice. The manga had a Norl shower scene right off the bat, so don’t let us down.

Norl’s a cutting-edge cutie with a cutting edge who’s a cut above the rest. Heihachi’s just your average mobile game addict with a whale-sized hole in his wallet. But one day, he pulls an item that pulls him into another world, spinning his life around with a spin of the gacha.

Attacked by monsters, and left without options, Heihachi does what he knows best—roll gacha! To his surprise, he watches his unit materialize before his eyes. Heihachi’s used to seeing cute girls pop up on his phone, but he’s never seen one pop out of his phone!

Chinkururi released the original Gacha Girls Corps novel on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro on January 25th, 2016. Yasutaka Isekawa provided the art for the light novel adaptation, which debuted on November 30th, 2016. Micro Magazine has published all nine volumes in the GC Novels imprint. Syuu Haruno provided the art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on March 30th, 2018. Micro Magazine has published fourteen volumes in Comic Ride.
