From the creator of Soul Eater, Atsushi Ohkubo’s latest manga series Fire Force was announced by David Production last year that they will be producing the televised anime adaptation of the manga series. The official website of Fire Force streamed a teaser trailer revealing the character cast, and that the anime will be airing on July 5th on MBS “Super Animeism” programming block, and TBS. Funimation announced on their official twitter that they will be streaming the series on FunimationNow.

Ohkubo launched his manga series in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2015, Fire Force‘s 15th volume was published on November 16, 2018, and the 16th volume will be published on April 17 of this year.
Fire Force synopsis:
Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment’s notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous “devil’s footprints” (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?
