A peerless assassin, respected and feared throughout the underworld, hung up his weapons to settle down with a cute wife. He lived every man’s dream of having a doting wife and an adorable child. His former colleagues couldn’t let him rest idle for too long. He’ll get back to the action when Sakamoto Days Season 2 premieres on July 14th, 2025.
Yuto Suzuki released the original Sakamoto Days manga series on November 21st, 2020. Shueisha has since published 22 volumes in Weekly Shonen Jump. TMS Entertainment’s anime adaptation premiered on January 11th, 2025.
Former assassins with superhuman abilities are as follows:

- Taro Sakamoto — Tomokazu Sugita (Tomoyasu Chikazoku “Skeptic” from My Hero Academia). Taro is one of the most skillful hitmen in the world.
- Shin Asakura — Nobunaga Shimazaki (Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen). An esper and former assassin who works with Taro.
- Rion Akao — Mamiko Noto (Kotoha from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). Taro’s old friend and mentor. Kei Uzuki murdered her seven years ago.
TMS Entertainment maintains a home page, a TikTok page, and a Twitter (X) page to promote Sakamoto Days. You can find additional series information and the key visuals there.

Sakamoto Days Filled With Action and Family Life
Taro Sakamoto lived a life of danger and excitement. He took on assignments to kill people with the utmost ruthless efficiency. His talents took him to the top of the charts and created a legend of fear that kept his enemies at bay. Taro traded all the danger and bloodshed for joy and happiness when he met a cute store clerk named Aoi. He got married, had a child, and retired from his old life. However, his old life wasn’t through with him quite yet.

Taro made new friends and reunited with old friends as he investigated the bounty that had been placed on him. His investigation led him to discover the X Organization’s plot to eliminate the Japanese Assassin Agency. X’s leader hides different connections to Taro, and each makes him a formidable foe. The only question left is whether or not Taro can keep his promise not to kill again.
