The Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day 10th Anniversary stage event at AnimeJapan 2021 revealed that the series will be getting a 10th-anniversary project. Along with the announcement, a new key visual was revealed showing all the characters 10-years older than they were when the original series ended. It was stated that additional information will be revealed on August 28th, and we’ll keep you posted.

The series first aired from April 14th, 2011, to June 23rd, 2011, with twenty-two episodes in total. The anime also received a novelization, manga adaptation, visual novel, and a live-action TV drama.
Anohana is well known for being a great series but is also known for the veteran animation staff behind it. The team calls themselves the Super Peace Busters and it is made up of director Tatsuyuki Nagai, scriptwriter Mari Okada, and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka. Some of the anime series they’ve worked on include popular series Toradora, the movie Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, and the movie Her Blue Sky.
