It’s not often we see an isekai protagonist suffer this much before entering another world. Betrayal and tragedy marred Pia Rockwell’s previous life. Her boyfriend stole her research and cheated on her, then a robber used her for target practice. Her current life may not fare much better: she’s a mob villainess in an otome game. We’ll see if she has better luck this time when Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta (Though I’m a Super Timid Noble Girl, I Accepted the Bet From My Cunning Fiancé!) premieres sometime in October 2026.

Hiro Oda released the original Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni novel on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro between January 12th, 2020, and January 22nd, 2020. Tsubasa.V provided the art for the light novel adaptation, which debuted on August 15th, 2020. Enterbrain has published all seven volumes in the B’s Log Bunko imprint. Aji Murata provided the art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on February 8th, 2021. Kadokawa Shoten has published five volumes in KadoComi.

Pia Rockwell — Miku Ito (Frenika from Sword Art Online: Alicization). Pia suffered a terrible fate in Japan and awoke in the world of her favorite otome game.
Rufus Stan — Ryota Osaka (Gyutaro from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). Rufus is the son of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Argyvale.
Erin White — Sora Amamiya (Illustrious from Azur Lane). Erin is a noblewoman who, like Pia, would suffer banishment in the main game after the heroine steals her fiancé.

The Timid Maiden Rises in Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni

Pia Rockwell’s life in Japan came to a tragic end. Her boyfriend used her for her research while sleeping with another girl, and a robber stabbed her to death while escaping the scene of a lesser crime. These unfortunate memories came flooding back as she came down from a cold in another world. She was reborn as a mob villainess from the otome game Caroline and the Rainbow Magic Sweets, or Caromagi for short. She didn’t even get splash art, and the kingdom punished her for some light bullying.

Pia is determined to avoid this fate, so she pretends to have received a divine vision of the future to convince Rufus Stan to end their engagement. Rufus does not believe he would betray his future wife and suggests they make a deal. If her vision came true, he would give her a royal fortune and perpetual access to his family’s vast territory. Pia wishes to continue her paleontology research in her new world, dig up fossils, and create a museum to hold everything. She agrees to the deal and looks forward to the game’s events with great hesitation.
