An older adventurer takes up residence in a peaceful village. He does odd jobs that appear as guild requests to help the people around him. His latest adventure in the local dungeon to collect meat leads him to a slime on the verge of swallowing a young girl. We’ll see how this fateful meeting goes when 29-sai Dokushin Chuken Bokensha no Nichijo (The Daily Life of a Single 29-Year-Old Adventurer) premieres sometime in the future.
Ippei Nara released the original 29-sai Dokushin Chuken Bokensha no Nichijo manga series on January 9th, 2016. Kodansha has since published eighteen volumes in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.
The 29-year-old adventurer and his new companion are as follows:
- Hajime Shinonome — Makoto Furukawa (Rider of Red/Achilles from Fate/Apocrypha). A Silver-rank adventurer who settles into an easy life in a peaceful village.
- Lilui — Sayumi Suzushiro (Nijika Ijichi from Bocchi the Rock!). A young girl abandoned by her parents.

Hajime Shinonome is a skilled Silver-rank adventurer. He gained the title and rank through sheer necessity. Hajime grew up in the slums and knew only hunger and desperation. After attaining his respectable rank, Hajime settled in a peaceful and quaint village while helping very grateful villagers. Meeting an orphan in the local dungeon disturbs his everyday life.
Lilui’s parents abandoned her, so she took up arms to become an adventurer. Unfortunately, her young age and lack of experience made her prey to a slime. Hajime’s timely intervention saved her and gave her a better chance at life. Like Lilui, Hajime was also an orphan who faced oblivion. He decided to take her with him to ensure her survival and happiness. Hajime will quickly discover that Lilui isn’t quite human.
