J-List has been around for a long time, and we’ve sold many thousands of different products since we started our humble company back in 1996. But from the beginning, we’ve loved selling awesome Japanese snacks to customers around the world, since literally, no one isn’t a fan of trying random new Japanese treats. Let’s take a look at what’s inside one of our top-selling products ever, the popular Dagashi Bento Box!

Different Kinds of Japanese Snacks from Japan
There are many kinds of fun snacks from Japan. I could break them into several categories, such as
- Pocky and related “stick-mono“ which are long and fun to eat
- Fun salty snacks, from rice crackers to Jagabee potato sticks
- FritoLay Japan’s amazing Takoyaki Puffs, which I personally love
- Innovative healthy snacks like Calorie Mate, which we couldn’t run J-List without
- Bread such as the famous melon-pan, which we can’t sell as the shelf life is too short
- Super traditional Japanese sweets such as manjuu cakes or dango dumplings, which are generally not popular due to containing anko sweet beans, which are an acquired taste
- Strange and interesting gummy offerings
- Interesting Japanese bubblegum and chewing gum
J-List Has Always Loved Selling Dagashi
When the Dagashi Kashi anime came along, general awareness of dagashi, the old-timey snacks from Japan’s postwar period, went through the roof. But it was old news to J-List since we’d been selling and promoting these fun snacks for years at the time. Let’s take a look at what’s inside our most popular item, a random selection of traditional dagashi snacks inside a bento box.
Here’s the bento box, which is a reusable plastic bento shell filled with random dagashi treats you will love. Not only is a whole lot of fun snacks to try from Japan, but it’s also inexpensive, and the shipping is not heavy either.
This is one example of the contents, though note that they’re random and subject to change based on what we happen to have in stock. The offerings range from cola-flavored Ramune candies to Umaibo to traditional chocolates and tasty candies that fizz in your mouth.
One of my personal favorite items are these sauce-flavored corn puffs called Kyabetsu. They’re essentially the same as the delicious Takoyaki Puffs from FritoLay Japan.
Another item our customers love is the Monster Stamp sets, candy stamps you can make images of monsters by licking the stamps and placing them over a sheet of paper. Then you can eat the delicious Ramune flavored candies.
