One game we’ve been super happy to approach release on is Trample on Schatten!! The Shadow Stomping Song Revolution Plus, a title JAST USA licensed from visual novel publisher Tail Wind and has been translating and editing for a couple years. It’s a high-quality VN with a great game engine that combines a story of heroic battles, wonderful characters and great art. The game is fully translated into English and uncensored, and it’s now shipping!
When a chance encounter drops him into the middle of a war between a secret organization of superheroes and the shadow creatures known as schatten (German for “shadow”), our hero Aisaku must awaken the hero within if. Together with his senpai from school Keziah, who is a princess capable of doing battle with the schatten herself, he’ll defend the town of Mitsuito and save the world. There’s one minor detail, however: after his first battle, Aisaku must have sex with Keziah or he’ll lose his own shadow and die. It’s somewhat similar to SSSS.Gridman in story concept (and quality of waifus).

Trample on Schatten! is a branching visual novel featuring epic battles and passionate romance. It has a unique Multi-POV system allows you to view scenes from other characters’ points of view, as well as jump to unlocked scenes at any time you choose. The game is fully voiced and offers excellent high-res graphics. Additionally, most H-scenes let the player choose whether to see the heroine fully naked or partially clothed, a bonus for chaku-ero fans.
Trample on Schatten! Character Intro
Himehagi Aisaku
The protagonist of Trample on Schatten. Wounded in a fight between Keziah and a schatten, he wakes from a three-week coma with a strange sphere embedded in his wrist, which gives him the power to become a Zelkraider, and fight the evil.
Keziah Hinokami
The former princess of Veltoria, a small nation in Europe. As the Zelkraider “Erzknight Princess”, she leads the fight against the schatten menace. While she and Aisaku butt heads at first, he soon finds that her cold, aloof demeanor hides a heart blazing with passion. She loves strawberries.
Onda Serika
Aisaku’s childhood friend. After losing their parents in an accident, she and her brother Shunji were raised at the Tsugimeseki orphanage. Though at times her insecurities may overwhelm her, Serika nevertheless strives to present a bright and cheerful face to the world. A huge tokusatsu fan, she becomes a Zelkraider to fight the schatten alongside Aisaku.
Rikuni Miina
A timid, slightly scatterbrained girl who is drawn to Aisaku’s courage and strength. Another “graduate” of the Tsugimeseki orphanage, Miina now runs the orphanage together with her brother Takuto. The children in her care love her like their own mother. Miina possesses the unique ability to detect schatten.
Konno Yuki
A classmate of Aisaku’s who has earned a reputation as something of a delinquent. Distrustful and quick to anger, Yuki’s talent for mathematics leads her to see the world in binary terms: if you’re not a “one”, you’re a “zero.” As a newly minted Zelkraider, she will do anything to become a “one.” She has a weakness for bargains and cute animals.
Yasaka Fuuri
A former pop idol who vanished from the public eye after a scandal that rocked the music world, who becomes a Zelkraider to fight the evil. Fuuri treats hunting schatten like a game, and at times exhibits a playful cruelty that is starkly at odds with her usual demeanor. It’s almost as if there were two of her… One of the cutest characters in Trample on Schatten!
Urasaki Sae
A talented doctor who heads the fight against the darkness, Sae looks after the Zelkraiders’ mental and physical health. Deeply caring and a little awkward, she’s determined to eradicate the schatten.
