Hell-cold-flu continues to be an anime cliché. The teasing wholesomeness of The Mysterious Maid didn’t allow for the requisite sweat-wiping scene. But we did see more of Lilith’s bare shoulders. Plus, we had Yuuri shout a laugh-out-loud marriage proposal. After Lilith fell ill, her delirious state made her squirming even more delicious.
The suspicious maid of The Mysterious Maid built a more intriguing mystery. Lilith’s former employer tracked down her address and demanded Lilith’s return. In the opening credits sequence, we know that Lilith used to wear the same maid uniform as her shark-toothed friend Natsume. The debut of a twin-tailed maid will be happening soon!

The sky looks clear in The Mysterious Maid, with a few fluffy clouds and mackerel sky formations. But there are dark clouds low on the horizon. Lilith is grocery shopping, so I hope she doesn’t get caught in a sudden downpour. Aw. Lilith is in a good mood because she’s still feeling the glow from Yuuri proclaiming her part of his family. There it is! Sudden rain! It’s not the summer anymore, so the fear of sickness from a drenching becomes more believable. Bwahaha! Bathing together is for married couples! Don’t be so impatient, Lilith! Yuuri and Lilith will have an incredibly healthy sex life.
Uh oh. Lilith is a dark-skinned maid, but we can see her full facial flush. Her mind is fuzzy, and she has a fever. Har. The Mysterious Maid shotacon with a nosebleed. We get it. Her self-worth is too tied up in her role as a maid. All better now! Well, Lilith’s face is flushed, but for other reasons.
Is Yuuri bored? He’s trying to do Lilith’s chores in The Mysterious Maid. Oh, he just wants the mansion tasks done quickly. And he is bored. How about making friends and playing at their house? He just wants to play house with his busty, suspicious dark-skinned maid! Yuuri’s romantic lines work too well on Lilith. Hoho. Lilith teases Yuuri about why her maid uniform exposes so much skin. She aims to teach him about womanly charms! She’s an excellent teacher. But it’s too late for Yuuri. He’s utterly charmed by Lilith’s suspicious spells. Plus, she’s family.
It’s fall because it’s time for Halloween! Lilith will sew up Yuuri’s costume for Tsukasa’s Halloween party. What about Lilith’s costume? Wakame Konbu, The Mysterious Maid’s manga creator, posted several ideas to her Twitter account. I like the callback to pudding in Lilith’s upcoming bunny suit figure. Oh? Lilith interrupted herself when she mentioned her previous mansion. There’s drama on that end. Oh, look at the big hint about Lilith’s costume. Her hands are on a book titled Sorcerer and Dragon. If Yuuri wants to be a sage, then what kind of busty, tan dragon girl will Lilith be? Oh, dear. Lilith gave Yuuri a chance to rant about how cute and beautiful she would be in any costume!
Lilith’s dragon tail is thicc. Not as thicc as another dragon maid, but Lilith Dragon Girl is also sexy in The Mysterious Maid. Tsukasa dresses as a prince, so I’m sure Fujisaki will become her princess later. Manga, anime, and light novels have influenced Tsukasa’s imagination. Tsukasa’s staff made a lot of food. How many people are coming to this party? Will the maids eat all these Halloween sweets leftovers? Oh, how endearing. Lilith chose a green jewel for Yuuri’s staff to match his eyes. Tsukasa can’t deal! Hohoho. Fujisaki thought she could escape Halloween. No! The other maids are in on it! Princess Fujisaki! No pictures! Everyone had fun. Tsukasa wants to start planning for next Halloween! Haha! Tsukasa took a picture of Fujisaki anyway.
Uh oh. Lilith received a letter. Big dramatic pause. Okay, now the maid Yuuri hired recently is suspicious. Like, for real. Yuuri is so worried about Lilith that he can’t enjoy his dinner. Lilith is leaving tomorrow! What was in that letter? Her previous employer told her to come back. In the first episode of The Mysterious Maid, Lilith looked like she had run away from home. Yuuri won’t allow Lilith to leave! He is her master. Well. Lilith will let that previous mansion take the next step.
