Yua asks Homi and Ren to help her practice posing for a cosplay photoshoot.

Episode 13 — “Cosplay Shooting Tights”

Hmm.

The Miru Tights Blu-ray compilation box is a great way to relive this anime season of looking at tights, feet, toes, legs, rears, shoes, knees, and the beautiful women who have them. The package has a soundtrack CD along with a booklet of Yom’s artwork and several different card inserts. Seeing the girls’ tights so well-lit just reminded me of the dark situations where we couldn’t see anything, so I appreciated Yom’s contributions very much. The episode’s premise is fun. Apparently, Yom, or someone just like the artist, wants Yua to cosplay model his tights-based drawings. Yua is used to taking selfie pictures for her Twitter feed, but she’s not used to someone else taking her pictures. This is where Homi comes in and where Ren gets to watch the whole practice shoot disapprovingly. It was great watching these three interact again. I got a kick out of all the levels of meta self-references between Yom, his artwork, the anime based on his characters, and how you can keep going around and around making the connections. Just make sure to go to Yua’s Twitter feed. The full-size pictures of Yom’s, er, the artist’s inspiration is all there.

Yua needs practice having someone else shoot her, so she asked Homi to take her pictures, but it didn’t feel quite right. I wonder if Yom, ahem, the tights-drawing artist would actually sound like Homi with all her excited direction and encouragement.

Homi suggested Ren take pictures with Yua, because why not, and Yua jumped at the chance to get some more teasing and groping in. She had to provoke Ren into agreeing first, but that wasn’t too hard with Ren’s competitive nature. Yua should get used to posing under bright lights instead of a darkened classroom. That’s my suggestion.

Trying to take the cutest pictures slowly devolved into yuri affectionate play. Yua sure has Ren’s number. Yua is also ever vigilant for yuri openings with Ren.

When Yua eventually pushed things too far, Ren and Yua ended up in a pile of squirming legs. Very nice! Somehow, Homi didn’t jump on the pile either, but she did have fun sharing the pictures she took. Yua really loves Ren’s feet. Who can blame her?
