Hmm.
Miru Tights still impresses me with how well it developed its characters to place them in the sexy situations based on Yom’s drawings. I saw the original art with Ren all tied up in red ribbon and I had to ask how. How is Miru Tights going to put Ren in a bed wrapped up like that with an expectant expression on her face? This is just like what happened with Homi’s episode. I almost treat these episodes like murder mysteries.
It was Ren, in the bedroom, with the red ribbon. That’s a Clue board game reference for you younger folks. So, I wondered, how does this happen when Ren has no boyfriend? The obvious answer, from the last 10 episodes of character development and world building, was going to be Yua. Ren and Yua have formed a friendship with yuri and S/M subtexts, so of course, Yua was going to tie Ren up. She already mashed her feet, satisfying the sadism itch, so it was definitely time to add in the bondage play.
But no! Miru Tights threw in a comedic twist that was still in keeping with the characters’ motivations. Ren is the serious, conscientious type, which is why she felt the need to reciprocate Yua’s Valentine’s Day chocolate with a gift of her own. Why she didn’t just get some chocolate… Let’s just roll with wrapping presents in the red ribbon of fate as being important. Yua teased her, as she usually does, with some yuri, sexual subext, so Ren wanted to pay her back too. And that’s how we got Ren tied up in bed. According to Yom, Yua thoroughly enjoyed her present.

Ren needs a plushie from the crane game. She’s serious! Are these things ducks? Platypuses? Those ears are pretty big. It’s like some weird duck bear.
Aw. Ren is a well-trained submissive… She needed to reciprocate Yua’s Valentine chocolate.
Look at Yua’s smug, mischievous smile! Kabedon! Yeah! The best present would have been Ren herself. I agree!
We still don’t have a name for Yua’s cat. And it doesn’t seem interested in Ren’s legs? Bad kitty! Okay, I’m thinking that stuffed toy is a teddy bear wearing a duckbill and duck feet. Teddy bear duck cosplay!
Ren has an idea. A bad idea for her, but a good idea for us. Ren thinks she’s going to tease Yua with this bondage thing. Right. She’s doing a bad job tying the ribbon, but Ren really is making a nice present for Yua!
Oh ho! Yua knows exactly how lucky she is with Ren tied down on her bed. That pregnant pause was awesome. Oh yes. It’s going to be a Happy Valentine’s Day for Yua! And for a reluctant Ren too! Nice imagery of the cat going after the stuffed toy’s ribbon. Ren is definitely Yua’s toy in this situation.
Can you believe this show is almost over? Just one more episode!
