How DHL Works
DHL is a great company and has been super important at keeping the flow of goods moving worldwide, and enabling companies like J-List to survive the crisis. While the shipping can be more expensive than EMS through the Japanese post office (which is still not restored for much of the world), it’s actually quite affordable considering how fast and reliable it is. Remember that DHL shipping counts weight as well as size (circumference of the box), which is why figures are a little expensive to ship…but you’ll get your figure in pristine format, box and all. The best value is the 2 kg flat rate box, which allows you to add a lot of products (ero or wholesome, take your pick) and pay a reasonable price for shipping, because they fit inside the 2 kg box. Remember, buying a lightweight 500 gram item will cost the same shipping as the 2 kg flat rate, so you might as well add more items to your cart so you can save overall.

After several years, we’re happy we can once again ship to Mexico, a country J-List loves, since we’ve got an office that’s right next door in San Diego. There are a ton of anime fans in Mexico, and the Spanish-speaking world in general, and it’s great that shipping has finally been restored.
