Announcing the Return of EMS and $25 J-List Shipping Support!

in Featured, Sales, Your Friend in Japan

When the COVID-19 crisis began, airplanes stopped flying, which posed a special problem for Japan-based companies like J-List because national post offices ship airmail and EMS packages by leasing space inside passenger jets. Happily DHL stepped up to the plate and enabled J-List to serve customers in countries where EMS couldn’t be shipped to. Now there’s a new crisis: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has caused oil prices to spike, and shipping rates with them. To help combat the crisis, J-List is re-activating lower-priced EMS shipping for the U.S., and giving everyone a $25 shipping support coupon for all orders of $150 or more!

EMS Returns for U.S. Shipping

First, we’re happy to announce that shipping by EMS shipping has returned an option for orders going from Japan to the U.S. As COVID recedes, airlines are flying much more than they were, and there’s even conjecture about when Japan will start allowing tourists to enter the county again soon, if the virus continues to receed.

Compared to DHL shipping, which takes both weight and the dimensions of a package into account, EMS shipping is weight-based only. This means that for certain orders, EMS will be cheaper than DHL, depending on what you’ve purchased. It’s great to have an alternate shipping option that might be more affordable!

Please note that EMS will take longer to deliver than DHL. The Japan Post website states 2-4 weeks delivery times, though it might be less in actual experience. As usual, DHL is super fast, getting packages to you in just a few days.

Let’s celebrate a cheaper shipping option for fun products from Japan!

The COVID crisis was really a problem, with shipments to most of the world cut off for several months. As things slowly came back online, we posted blog posts celebrating the restoration of shipments to this country or that. Now we’re able to ship to most countries, either by EMS or DHL, or both.

J-List’s $25 Shipping Support Coupon

In addition to adding a lower shipping option, J-List will cover $25 of your shipping for all orders of $150 or more. Want to add another onahole or bottle of lotion to your order? Perhaps one of the popular and affordable “prize” figures, which are in stock, ready to ship out any time? Get your order total over $150, and you’ll get an automatic instant coupon for $25 off in your cart!

This $25 J-List Shipping Support coupon is separate from any other discount and can be used on both in-stock orders or preorders.
