Episode 2 — “Ren’s Shadow”
Hmm.
One of my favorite things about Chained Soldier’s premise is how Yuuki’s slave form shifts based on who holds his collar. The artists have chances to elevate the story beyond a tale filled with psychics, demons, or wizards through this one quirk of Kyouka’s abilities. We saw examples in the first season’s eighth episode when Kyouka lent Yuuki to her squadron members, so the second season offers the potential for more creative fun during the upcoming combined squadron training sessions.
Besides reminding us of how Yuuki’s appearance and abilities change, and he receives “rewards” from other girls, this episode also replayed another plot point from that same episode from the first season. Bedroom invasion! Last season, Shushu caught Tenka sneaking into Yuuki’s bed. This time? The enemy joined Tenka and Shushu. Does the scene feel repetitive? Partially, because Chained Soldier doubled down on its harem hijinks. But consider this — the scene showed how Shikoku, the Eight Thunder Gods Leader, wields her demon powers.
Usually, we would see demonstrations during a battle scene in a shonen anime. Entertainingly, Chained Soldier considers multiple women licking a man’s chest also a “battle” scene. Yuuki can be a lover and a fighter as a collared slave. And even better, the scene reinforced character development because Shushu sensed something off about Tenka sharing Yuuki. The 6th Squadron Commander would never allow that.
Capable storytelling through these thirsty girls’ actions? I approve.
Chained Soldier Makes Me Say Heh.
Kyouka explains why the terrorists targeted the squadron commanders’ meeting: Mato Peaches only grow in Japan, which distributes them to the other nations. That scarcity sparks resentment and fuels black market incentives.

The retiring 1st Squadron Commander trained Kyouka in sword techniques, reminding the audience that Kyouka defeated Shuuki through sheer physical talent. Before Yuuki became her slave, of course. Chained Soldier features manual-drive army jeeps for the Demon Defense Forces. Is there a particular reason? Other than the sexually suggestive implications of pushing pedals and forcefully pushing sticks into gear slots? Kyouka warns Yuuki that Supreme Commander Ren loves animals, and she now sees Yuuki as a pet dog. She’ll want to claim him as hers!
Undercover Agents and Chained Soldier After Dark
Yes. Yes! Episode 2 freed the nipples! Enjoy steamy, uncensored breasts in the 7th Squadron’s bath. Shushu scrubs herself extra clean for night maneuvers. Will Yuuki have enough energy to fight Shushu off after his evening chores?
Shushu’s night mission commences! Smol Shushu. Her ability can grow her into a giant or shrink her to figurine size. She wants to “play” with Yuuki in the dark. Ack! Osculum Interruptus! Is it Tenka again? No, that’s Shikoku, the leader of the Eight Thunder Gods. She proved she can breach the anti-demon barrier by suppressing her powers. These girls must have insane sexual frustration because they constantly jam each other up inside Yuuki’s bedroom. Oof. Chained Soldier S2’s first catfight erupts in front of a sleeping Yuuki! Shikoku (seemingly) commands many Mato Talents, matching Ren’s situation. Ohoho! Tenka showed up to stop the gatecrasher! Um, isn’t she one, too?
Momentum shift. Let Yuuki decide who “plays” with him first through moist panty suffocation. Tenka signed up for the match! Well. Tenka would never share Yuuki like this, so we already know this scene in Chained Soldier is more hinky than kinky. Shushu noticed the eeriness. Mind control! Can Shushu break free? Tenka struck first! And Shushu followed through. Shikoku’s demon powers have a theme: globs of poison. She also holds a grudge, so Shushu should be careful in future engagements. Tactical retreat! Shushu promises to sneak in, er, protect Yuuki again.
What Would a Pajama Party in Chained Soldier Be Like?
Oops. How will Yuuki get any sleep surrounded by women watching over him? And Ren’s eager to join the fun. Chained Soldier S2’s commercial break intermissions use chains to cover the naughty bits.
Oh? Shushu hasn’t given up. She can use her doll-sized mode to sneak under Yuuki’s covers. Uh oh. What do women call their version of “cock-blocking?” Cooch-blocking? Because Himari’s aggressive sleepwalking ruined Shushu’s slapdash plans as she delivered a taste of her own giantess attack medicine.
Yuuki’s overnight distractions continue. Nei crawled into bed with him like the cliché of small children seeking parents’ or older siblings’ comfort. Chained Soldier used this moment to remind the audience how every one of the characters has suffered trauma from the Mato intruding into their world.
Chained Soldier Offers High Interest Loans — High Interest in Yuuki!
Oh, hey, do you remember how Kyouka can lend Yuuki to others? Here’s cute, pink Yuuki-slave-mecha for Nei’s sensory skills. And Yuuki’s reward? Head pats from his “senpai.” The area around the 7th Squadron’s dorm was clear of Shuuki, but Yuuki noticed someone watching from above. It was Ren! Everyone’s buzzing about how Kyouka can let others borrow Yuuki. Ren’s curious about what Yuuki would look like if she “rode” him. Me too!
Nope. Kyouka won’t lend him out right after someone else. Hee. Ren has a cute, selfish side. Uh oh. The lessee pays the reward for Yuuki’s time, so what is Kyouka doing to him? Ah. She’s breaking his back! Chained Soldier reminds us how much Kyouka loves wrestling moves. She warned him not to draw the Supreme Commander’s attention! Bell, the 3rd Squadron Commander, became one of Ren’s pets, so look at how skittish she is now.
Get Ready to Rumble!
Oh, look. Another training-battle tournament arc. This time, the 5th Squadron joins the 6th and the 7th. Yuuki will manage the meals and amenities for the dorm guests. Tenka aims to be the breadwinner of her household with Yuuki. Yakumo and her squad made a flashy entrance because they arrived by whirlwind. I wonder what Saki and Kaiko’s Peach Skills are. Yakumo is the aggressive lesbian type, so this Chained Soldier arc promises to be a blast!
Whoops. Word has already gotten around that Kyouka can lend her slave to others. Yakumo would like a session with Yuuki, please. Wait for your turn. Training comes first.
