Will AI normalize the world?
Developers train large language models to give the most likely answer (read “popular”), based on what they’ve seen before (all those blog posts and articles written by “experts”). Popular answers that pass through the filters of guardrails and human intervention bubble to the top, burying unpopular answers. Even if they’re correct.
Stack Overflow users will have seen second-best answers that were more correct than the top-voted answer. Then add in the polarization of social media, and you’ve got a robotic normie maker that threatens to kill free thought.
AI isn’t punk.
That’s why I like cosplay Ram. She stands against popular opinion like a furry in a room full of dry-humored accountants. She’s herself. She’s authentic and true.
And the world needs authenticity and truth.
