Kashou detests small talk. Most people would agree. Talking about unimportant things is a fruitless endeavor. Time is limited. Getting to know others should be a sprint, not a marathon. Always ask relevant questions first. “Who are your favorite R18 artists?” should be one of the first questions you ask any potential partner or friend. If someone asked me that, I’d answer Yopparai Oni, Kagiro, and Takunomi. This article is about the latter.
Few tags permeate doujin and R18 anime as much as “demi-human.” The general public looks at things that appear human with doubt and fear. Otaku look at them and instead get boners. And when it comes to boner-inducing demi-human art, there’s a name that’s long sat on a pedestal — Takunomi. I know cultured readers are familiar with that name. But for the uninitiated, Takunomi is the artist behind the iconic Enjo Kouhai (Assisted Mating) and Hoshoku Club (Carnivore Club) doujins. However, most people know him through the H-anime adaptations of his work. Let’s talk about those!

Takunomi — A Demi-human Waifu for Everyone
Takunomi has over a decade of doujins and illustrations to his name. With a catalog that long, there’s a lot to cover, but let’s focus on the doujins and OVAs we stock! That’s not bias. That’s me trying to avoid the “Kashou, you used condom! You mentioned this title, but you don’t stock it!” messages. Anyhow, I’d bet a doujin most otaku have seen Majin Label’s H-anime adaptation of Takunomi’s Enjo Kouhai. Even people who’ve never heard of Takunomi have seen Enjo Kouhai. That title lands in the hentai trifecta. It has a horny teacher banging his students, a variety of oppai sizes, and demi-human waifus! Plus, it’s a long-running series. Majin Label released 12 Enjou Kouhai OVAs between January 31, 2020, and September 25, 2026. Hirohiko Tatsumi, the dude behind the Saimin Seishidou light novel, even adapted Enjou Kouhai into a light novel. We stock the Enjou Kouhai anthology and several of its OVAs. FAKKU publishes the series in English.
Another well-known Takunomi work is Hoshoku Club. This spicy doujin follows the rabbit boy Yuto, who’s lucky enough to live with his oppalicious senpais. One of them is a wolf-girl, the other a lion-girl, and they’re both mind-bogglingly sexy! And best of all, they’re fine with Yuto seeing them naked, which eventually leads to all kinds of lewdness! While we’re out of the Japanese doujin, FAKKU publishes Hoshoku Club digitally as Carnivore Club.
Who’s Your Favorite Demi-Human Illustrator?
Whenever someone who already knows about Takunomi asks me to recommend an R18 artist who loves to lewd demi-humans, I gleefully answer Likunea. Their Holo artwork is addictively smutty. Unfortunately, they haven’t ventured into the realm of doujins, so I can’t recommend one. But I can recommend Comic Unreal!’s Monster Musume Paradise and Hikaru Nekoi’s Interspecies Communication. They’re not Takunomi titles, but they’re every bit as lewd! And they have demi-humans, so yatta! Let us know on Discord which demi-human illustrator you love!
