I feel uneasy whenever an anime season ends. I wonder if the coming season will be better. But mostly, I panic over having to check out anything that looks entertaining, only to end up with a watch list of about twenty shows. I know I’m not the only weeb that does this. The three-episode rule exists for a reason. But even then, the initial deluge of new shows is dizzying. Thankfully, you can count on the hip homies at J-List to recommend the most absitively, posolutely cultured shows of the spring 2026 anime season.
I hope someone understood that reference, because it filled me with so much cringe that my left ball fell off, but the sentiment is real. Here are the cultured shows you should check out this season, my dear otakus!
J-List has started a new sale, this time on all hentai manga we have in stock, as well as limited anime Blu-ray titles, and anime games for your Nintendo Switch. Get 18% off all these products until March 23. Start browsing here!
Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy — A Playfully Cultured Spring 2026 Anime
We at J-List are fond of demons and succubi using our manly virility for their own needs. While we’re content with getting sexy time out of that ordeal, we’d be happier with love. While the chances of getting a kawaii demon to love are low, living vicariously through anime are high. That’s why we’re excited about Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy!
One of our “must-watch” spring 2026 anime, this kyuuto rom-com follows the centuries-old demon, Kanan Takakiyo. Kanan pretends to be a high school student in her hunt for human souls. But when she sets her sights on the unsuspecting Youji Kyougi, Kanan gets more than she bargained for. Instead of a tasty meal, for the first time, she welcomes romance to her life!
If romantic comedies, pervy camera shots, and family-friendly fan service are what you like, this spring 2026 anime is what you need. Studio Kai (Umamusume S2 & S3) will animate the Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi adaptation. No streaming service has announced that they’ll stream this title.

Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi! Brings the Pervy Moe
While Kashou is delighted to write for J-List, I always feel a deep sense of dread when I go into the doujin section of our store. Why is it only massive oppai, MILFs, and Onee-sans? Where are the petite waifus? Sometimes you want to enjoy sexy stuff with kawaii characters. Society frowns on that. But the spring 2026 anime season does not, so we’re getting the TV anime adaptation of Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi! And it promises to be the best comedic ecchi of the season!
Ichijoma follows Meiko Morita, a country bumpkin who took a leap of faith and applied to a prestigious all-girls’ school. To her surprise, it accepted her! However, her new school life comes with a cost — her scholarship requires her to join a volunteer work program. But when she arrives at the place where she’s supposed to work, she’s greeted with a cramped manga café and kawaii waifus!
If, like me, you prefer your ecchi anime to be kawaii and have slice-of-life vibes, Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi! is a show you need to watch. Currently, no streaming service has claimed this title. Studio PRA is animating this anime.

Yowayowa Sensei — A Heated School Rom-Com
I never understood why romance otaku seem to dislike ecchi and fan service moments in anime. I understand getting upset that there’s blatant sexualization, but most healthy relationships have pervy moments. Lewdness and love are different wings on the same bird. The spring 2026 anime season packed itself with rom-coms, and we can expect most of them to follow the same “it takes ten episodes to hold hands” trope. Some of us dislike that. But asking for a rom-com with actual progression is like asking your mom for Burger King three days in a row. You may get it, but the odds aren’t on your side. But asking for a rom-com with gratuitous fan service is easier to receive. This season, Yowayowa Sensei is the anime that’s going to give that to us.
Yowayowa Sensei follows the kawaii Hiyori Hiwamura, a novice bishoujo teacher who’s on the shy and socially awkward side. Hiyori’s outward persona is so problematic that her students quickly label her as the school’s scary sensei. But behind her frightening glare lies a softie who still plays with plushies. When one of her students discovers that side of her and tries to share it with others, romantic, sexy shenanigans follow. HIDIVE will stream this spring 2026 anime, but they haven’t announced if it will be the censored or cultured version. Brain’s Base is the studio handling the anime.

If You Can Only Watch a Single Hentai This Spring 2026 Anime Season, It Needs to Be Kyonyuu Ga Futari
A bunch of countries that most of you couldn’t point out on a map are dropping loads of munitions on each other. Somehow, that means your groceries and gas are going to get more expensive, and you’ll need to work more. More work equals less time. Less time means less hentai. And since the spring 2026 anime season has six hentai in its roster, that lack of time is lamentable. Life sucks, and then you die.
If time is something you don’t have this spring and you can only watch a single hentai, it needs to be Kyonyuu ga Futari Inai to Bokki Shinai Otto no Tame ni Tomodachi wo Tsuretekita Tsuma. I Can’t Get It Up Without Two Pairs of Big Breasts, So My Wife Brought Her Friend! is the kind of hentai whose title mirrors its plot. When a married dude realizes that he can’t perform with only his wife, she invites her friend to get him hard! What follows isn’t drama or jealousy, but long, raunchy threesome filled days!
I reviewed the doujin before, so go and read it. I need the views.
KyonyuuTsuma premieres on April 30 as a two-episode ONA by studio T-Rex.

Which Anime Will You Watch This Spring 2026 Anime Season?
While I only talked about cultured shows, this coming season is a stack full of options. There’s everything from drama to isekai anime. What shows will you be watching? I’ll check out around 23 shows, most likely. But I’m really looking forward to the second season of Farming Life In Another World, Needy Girl Overdose, and Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk.
Let us know which anime are in your plan-to-watch list in the comments or on Discord. Thanks for reading, live long and prosper, and buy this doujin. Or get Shirosuzu’s Cinderella Fit or Ashida Ekkusu’s WAIREN: The Obscene Love. Ja ne!
