Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, episode 6, reminded me of the pitfalls associated with short-form anime. When something like this tells you a story straight up, it works. However, when it attempts to build suspense and drag things out, it consistently fails. This anime is eight episodes long, and with two more to go, there’s little chance of a satisfactory ending. Although episode 6 still had plenty of fan service, with the potential introduction of Nadeshiko’s maker and the reiteration that she’s not like normal love bots, it disappointed. If episode 6 was anything to go by, prepare your wallet for that Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? manga purchase. By the looks of it, this anime will end with a cliffhanger. I can’t speak for anyone else who’s watching this, but I’m too poor, and I’ll die too fast to have to rely on second seasons and buying manga.

Around Christmas, I had a peculiar interaction with my local veggie shop. I tried to buy a type of gourd, only to be told that they weren’t currently selling it.
