The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance anime is set to premiere in 2026. Along with the announcement, the production company released a short trailer showcasing the main characters and a visual. The series was first revealed last year as part of the franchise’s twentieth anniversary celebration.
Seven Arcs, known for titles like Blue Period, Tonikaku Kawaii, and Chained Soldier, will handle the animation for the upcoming series. Takayuki Hamana, whose work includes The Witch and the Beast and Arte, will direct the anime. Masaki Tsuzuki, the original creator, will collaborate on the script. Meanwhile, Issei Arakaki (Monogatari Series: Second Season) will serve as the chief animation director. The production committee for Gun Blaze Vengeance has shared little about the show’s plot.
The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS manga launched after the anime’s announcement. Kodansha’s Suiyobi no Sirius began serializing the manga on April 10, 2025. Shuuichi Kawakami illustrates the manga.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Details
A spin-off of Masaki Tsuzuki’s Triangle Heart 3 eroge, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha centers on the life of Nanoha Takamachi.
While most 9-year-olds are busy dealing with whatever slop Cartoon Network is serving up these days, Nanoha Takamachi faces much bigger challenges. When Nanoha rescues an injured ferret that’s actually an otherworldly mage, the events upend her ordinary life. That seemingly small act of kindness plunges Nanoha into an interdimensional conflict over magical artifacts called the 21 Jewel Seeds. As the ferret mage turns Nanoha into a magical girl, complete with a kawaii wand, her aptitude for her new position quickly comes to light. But the complexity of what she must do is anything but straightforward.
Gun Blaze Vengeance is the latest installment in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise. While several installments have lessened or omitted Nanoha as the story’s main character, it seems the kawaii mahou shoujo has once more taken center stage.
