Marcey Naito’s supernatural rom-com manga Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister has ended after a four-year serialization. The 194 chapter launched in Japan on August 26 via Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. To commemorate the manga’s conclusion, Negi Haruba (The Quintessential Quintuplets) and Haruko Iizuka released illustrations featuring the manga’s heroines. Fans of Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi and The Quintessential Quintuplets will remember that the franchises previously released crossover artwork.

Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Deets
Written and illustrated by Marcey Naito, Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister began as a one-shot competition manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. After acquiring the first-place prize, Weekly Shonen Magazine began serializing Naito-san’s Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi. Since then, the publishing company has released 21 volumes of the manga, with the 22nd (final) volume scheduled for release on October 17, 2025.
Kodansha USA publishes the English version of the Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi manga.
The manga received a 24-episode TV anime adaptation by Studio Drive. Yujiro Abe directed the anime. Haruko Iizuka provided the character design for the adaptation. The anime’s original Japanese voice cast included:
- Ryota Suzuki as Uryu Kamihate
- Kaede Hondo as Yuna Amagami
- Shion Wakayama as Asahi Amagami
- Sumire Uesaka as Yae Amagami
- Nana Mizuki as Mahiru Anekoji
- Chika Anzai as Shirahi Tsuruyama
- Yui Horie as Yomiko Tsukigami
Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Synopsis
Uryu Kamihate’s life has been pretty unfortunate. After losing his parents, he spent most of his youth in an orphanage. There, he shut out the outside world to focus on studying for the entrance exam to the prestigious Kyoto University. But as strange as it sounds, Uryu-kun’s motivation comes from a place of love — he wants to become a doctor so no one has to grow up without parents like he did.
Things take a turn when he moves into the Amagami Shrine. He’s told that to save the shrine, he has to marry one of the three Amagami sisters who live there.
At first, he’s hesitant, but as he spends more time with the sisters, his feelings start to grow. When supernatural forces get involved and bind them together, that affection slowly blooms into love. But which sister will win Uryu-kun’s heart? You can watch Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister dubbed or subbed on Crunchyroll.

Go Watch Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi
Usually, I don’t promote the anime or manga I write about in a news article. But I genuinely recommend the Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi manga and anime whenever I get the chance. I could list a hundred harem anime that have thrilled or excited me. But this one is the only show that’s ever made me uncomfortable — and I can handle a lot more than the average person. Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister is the perfect mix of the ecchi harem moments we all enjoy and a supernatural twist. In a previous article, Peter-senpai asked if this anime could compete with shows like The Quintessential Quintuplets or Bokuben. I’d say it’s way better in terms of entertainment value. This is a harem anime you definitely need to check out!
