Five friends while the time away in boring Maebashi City. Days pass by with nothing really changing. A magic frog grants their wish for excitement, taking them on an adventure filled with singing and dancing. We’ll see what forms they take when Maebashi Witches premieres sometime in April 2025.
Maebashi Witches is an original anime series Junichi Yamamoto and Erika Yoshida created for Sunrise.
Three of the new magical florists are as follows:
- Yuina Akagi — Sakura Kasuga. A bright and cheery girl who likes to take photos.
- Mai Kamiizumi — Honami Momose. A realist who pays close attention to her surroundings.
- Kyoka Kitahara — Rena Motomura. A mature girl who acts as a voice of reason.
Sunrise maintains a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Maebashi Witches. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals there. They create magic together.
Maebashi Witches Grant Wishes for All
Yuina, Azu, Kyoka, Choco, and Mai idle their time around their boring and peaceful home of Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture (the same prefecture J-List calls home). Yuina wishes for something exciting to happen. Her call to adventure comes when a magical talking frog named Keroppe appears before her. He asks her to become a witch who can help other people.
Keroppe whisks Yuina and the four other girls to a room with a magic closet. They’re taken to a magical flower shop where they become the Maebashi Witches. This is where they can sing and dance to grant wishes and help the flowers within people’s hearts bloom.
