Unfortunately, when you run a website, these things can happen. J-List has been around for a super long time, so we’ve seen all kinds of glitches and problems over the years. We’ll get this issue fixed as quickly as we can.

When we started J-List, the idea of selling products on the Internet was highly suspect, especially here in Japan, which generally runs a decade or so behind the U.S. and Japan in terms of what is accepted socially. For this reason, we’ve always processed our credit cards through the U.S., allowing us to live in the current year technologically, rather than several years in the past like conservative Japan is usually doing.
Paypal is a great company, and if you don’t have an account with them — and you live in a country that they do business in — now is a great time to fix that. Paypal allows you to send money to anyone with an email address, and keep your credit card information off the Internet entirely. Until the headpat-based economy becomes a thing, it’s quite handy to have!
