One movie that we’ve been following pretty closely here on the J-List Blog is the latest from Mamoru Hosoda, simply titled Belle. Theatrically released in Japan back in July 2021, the movie didn’t do Demon Slayer movie numbers, but it still holds a solid 94% on Rotten Tomatoes ahead of its release in the west on January 14th.
Speaking of that upcoming release date, GKIDS revealed via a press release who will bring the characters to life in the dub and released a frankly amazing trailer that will have his long-time fans salivating to see this movie.
Now that we’ve watched the trailer, let’s check out the entire voice cast as revealed in the press release:

Now here’s the part where I have to admit that my experience level with Hosoda movies isn’t very high as it’s very rare that I get out to the theater to see movies (Sword Art Online: Progressive was my first in quite a while). Despite this, that trailer has me very curious to see this movie, eventually. While I can’t say that I’ll be there on opening day, the story presented in that trailer has me wanting to find out what happens to this poor girl who accidentally becomes a celebrity. I’m certain, however, that if you’ve ever enjoyed one of Hosoda’s movies in the past, you will not do yourself wrong by seeing this one as well.
