What if seasonal allergies were horny? This is the ageless question that brave hentai artist Koume Keito decided to tackle with his inventive Pollinic Girls hentai series. Now, an updated anthology release of the story is out, packing in even more erotic adventures by the talented hentai illustrator.
This is a massive anthology, clocking in at 262 pages with a staggering 22 chapters. While the page count is only about 60 pages higher than your average hentai book release, The Pollinic Girls Attack! Complete has nearly twice as many chapters as usual thanks to the variety of both average length and shorter stories sprinkled throughout the volume. What’s even better is that the first nine stories in this book are rendered in full-color, giving readers a whopping 60 pages of gorgeous, color-filled Koume Keito art to drool over.
Normally, full-color artwork would help make the illustrations in each panel pop and add a lot of variety to the artwork in a manga. That isn’t quite the case with most of the colored pages in The Pollinic Girls Attack! Complete, though, and it’s partially due to the subject matter of most of these pages. A large chunk of this anthology manga is set in the Pollinic Girls universe. In this setting, your common seasonal pollen allergies manifest instead as naked, horny girls who cling to you and fool around with you relentlessly. The entire original Pollinic Girls story series is presented here in color, showing off a variety of scenarios involving the horny allergen women. In one, a girl named Aki is meeting her boyfriend for a date at the library, only to discover that the library of pollen. After her romantic date is ruined by a lengthy sex session between her and her boyfriend (and their pollen), she decides to use a new pollinic girl extract to try and ward off the pesky pussy raiders. The treatment works like a charm, except for one pesky side effect: anyone who uses it experiences wildly enhanced lust toward the people who they love.
Other stories in the Pollinic Girls series include chapters where office workers fail to get any of their work done due to the infestation of pollen keeping them distracted, or a high school girl failing to fend off the pollinic girls in front of her crush while on the bus heading to school. They’re silly adventures that provide an easy excuse to draw endless arrays of orgies for the reader to enjoy, but part of the difficulty in enjoying these colored chapters is that every pollinic girl looks exactly the same. They either have short blonde hair and blue eyes or long black hair with brown, and sport the exact same body types. When almost every page involves a massive orgy of a dozen people, and half of those people look exactly the same, the action begins to blur together in a way that started to simply make my eyes glaze over instead of appreciating.
Thankfully, not every full-color chapter of The Pollinic Girls Attack! Complete is a pollen-filled orgy overload. In the chapter Nudist Wife, we get a fun and silly story about an incredibly shy woman with gorgeous blonde hair and a slender body named Alice. She just married an accomplished businessman who also happens to be a nudist. At first, she was struggling enough when they went on a naked deserted island honeymoon. Now that they live together, though, she has to learn to adjust to his lifestyle of living naked and horny at home every day. While it’s a short story, I loved seeing the way the two of them learn to embrace each other’s preferences, especially because their solution involved plenty of steamy sex. Because this is a chapter all about one guy and one girl, it was a lot easier to appreciate the beautiful art of Koume Keito. Alice is tall and thin, but she has a buxom and bouncy chest that I couldn’t get enough of. The eyes on Koume Keitos characters are especially large, but that style helps accentuate the emotions on their face, and the way their huge eyes contrast with their petite tongues during steamy scenes kept me hooked.
Another highlight of the full-color chapters in The Pollinic Girls Attack! Complete is Naughty Princess. This story is set in an ancient Egyptian paradise, where a handsome master and his dedicated princess engage in constant erotic entanglement along with their countless gorgeous concubines on the daily. While all of the female servants love to make their master cum from pleasure, the princess has developed a particular enjoyment of bringing him to the brink of ejaculation and then stopping entirely. Frustrated by the fact that the princess doesn’t understand the importance of ejaculation, he and his sexual servants devise a plan to fix the ways of the princess. Of course, that plan involves all of them having their way with her for hours on end to teach her the importance of the climax.
This story, much like the Pollinic Girls chapters, features a huge amount of women all fooling around with each other in an endless sea of skin and tongues. The big difference here, though, is that all of the servants actually look different. Not only do they sport different hair colors, eye colors, and styles, but they also rock entirely different shades of skin. A sea of women is much easier to parse and enjoy from a visual standpoint when there are pale girls, tan girls, and brown girls alike all mingled within it. That bit of detail helps elevate Naughty Princess to being one of the best-colored chapters in this entire volume.
Overall, The Pollinic Girls Attack! Complete is a bit of a mixed bag. While I appreciate the unique idea of the Pollinic Girls chapters, I can’t help but feel like the repetitive character designs and constant scenes of massive orgies in these parts made things more overwhelming than enjoyable. It’s only when artist Koume Keito narrows his focuses and does a story about a single couple that his gorgeous, erotic art and great attention to detail truly shines. While some parts of this anthology ultimately fall flat, others soar to great success, making this a volume well worth picking up. The Pollinic Girls Attack!
