We All Love Anime Figures!
J-List was founded 29 years ago, and for the past three decades it’s been awesome seeing how anime has changed and evolved, always finding new ways to engage with fans. Back in the old days, most figures were “garage kit” molds that fans had to assemble — and paint! — themselves, so naturally, the market was not very large. But as manufacturing techniques improved, allowing truly amazing sculps of anime figures to be mass-produced at scale, there was a huge movement towards anime figures.
There are many reasons why collecting anime figures is such an important hobby for anime fans. Owning a beautiful sculpt of our favorite character lets us uniquely express our love for her by allowing her to share our lives while perched on our figure shelf, in a display case, or on our desk. Each figure becomes a physical reminder of the very special emotions we felt while watching the show for the first time.
Of course, there’s one other reason we might love collecting anime figures: looking up their skirts. Don’t pretend you haven’t done it!
