It’s a unique time for the world, as most of us are being asked to assist the recovery of the COVID-19 coronavirus by avoiding public places and generally staying home as much as we can, as we all cope with the crisis. Yes, for the first time in history we can literally save the world by staying home, watching anime and playing video games to our heart’s content. And wash our hands, of course! So I thought I’d do a post with ten great anime songs to wash your hands to so we can all stay healthy!
The Japanese Love to Wash Their Hands
When I first came to Japan in 1991, it was inevitable that I encounter some culture shock. One thing that impressed me was how clean and hygienic the people I encountered were, washing their hands properly after eating or using the bathroom, brushing their teeth three times a day, and washing their faces in the morning and night. I don’t think I’ve ever washed my face in my life, although I slather some soap on it while in the shower if I remember to.
So let’s all imitate the Japanese and be more hygienic, cleaning any surfaces someone has touched with alcohol-based cleaner and being sure to wash our hands for 20 seconds or more. And to make sure we do a good job, let’s sing!
