J-List [hearts] Hayao Miyazaki

Like many people, love the works of Hayao Miyazaki, ever since catching a showing of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind at the San Diego Comic-Con back in 1985 or so. One of the inspirations for starting J-List was to create a shop that could sell every awesome Totoro and Ghibli product we could find, which is why we carry so many of them. If you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli’s works and ever plan on making a trip to Japan, be sure and plan to visit the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo. The museum is a meticulously laid out to provide a great experience for everyone, and the number of visitors allowed in each hour is capped, which is why we provide a ticket sales service as it can be difficult to buy them from outside Japan. The museum sports a movie theatre where you can see short films by the company, full life-sized versions of the catbus and Laputa robot, Ghibli stained glass windows, and more. I definitely recommend it. (Incidentally, we’re happy with the newly released Studio Ghibli Blu-ray discs like Totoro and Grave of the Fireflies, with full dubbed and subbed tracks in English and other languages!)

I’m a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki.
